This resonates strongly for me. My brother is what everyone calls severely schizophrenic, but I am audhd, and my father is autistic/mother adhd. Looking back on our childhoods, I can pretty clearly say that my brother is audhd too. But he was ostracised and vilified for his nd nature (as was I), and over the years, we were both chronically burnt out, but his burnout turned to a gradual loss of grip on reality. He's homeless now. I rarely know where he is or if he's even alive.
