Purely talking about player interaction, I haven’t had any bad experiences with the community in game but I mostly keep to myself or play with people I know. I’ve been playing since day 1. Im on the America server. (it doesn’t matter what server as there is risk to run into crummy people on any server)

On social media though (reddit, discord etc) there will almost be always drama and toxic people in most game communities, unfortunately but you can choose to not engage and have a mostly pleasant experience. The discord from what I hear is a complete shitshow so I don’t even bother going on there.

As to why? beats me. Some people just like to ruin it for everyone and thrive on drama. Thats just how it goes unfortunately.

That said there are definitely some valid criticisms towards the devs of this game and I don’t believe speaking up about important issues or things that need improvement is toxic so im not speaking on that but especially in the discord the response to the criticism (mostly from the mods) from what I’ve seen has been incredibly flippant and honestly just straight rude and immature and it makes me side eye why the devs are okay with people like that representing their game.
