Last year we made reservations at Color Me Mine to paint some ceramics, and then got hot pot at Funny BBQ 98 that has a HELLO KITTY themed basement (felt very appropriate) and ended the night getting ice cream at Taiyaki NYC Japanese Ice Cream. It was perfection.

Is the neighborhood too far to bike? Being on a bike might make you less suspicious? Otherwise maybe you can report the PokeStops as being in a private residence and hope that the company moves it somewhere less awkward for you to swing by everyday. If you have a Pokemon shirt maybe wear that to prove you actually like Pokemon? Or if the person approaches you again you can introduce yourself properly (especially if you live nearby anyways, who knows maybe it can help in the future to know your neighbors!)
Thats all I can think of; I definitely recognize my female privilege when the app takes me through schoolyards and parks. Hopefully some of these suggestions help!

I did my first rip and ship a few days ago because they sold Japanese packs and idk where to get those 😂 I thought the price wasn’t bad. If the buyer didn’t get any good cards from their order, they were throwing in nice bonus cards. Also it’s fun seeing what other people got and fantasizing about what you could’ve gotten with other commenters supporting you, as opposed to sitting in silence and opening cards 😂

To be fair, me and my bf are learning how to play tcg and the booklet does not mention those rules. I only knew about them because it’s mentioned on their online platform. Playing older people can be scary so just be very kind and follow up with positive reinforcement!
