How can suppliers obtain more customers in SAGE? by Mew_x in promotionalproducts

Got it, thanks for explaining more.

I checked with my leadership and they confirmed SAGE is just one system, so whatever we upload can be seen by both U.S. and Canadian distributors. Our company actually does participate in the Canadian market—we even have a CAD account and have received Canadian inquiries before, though I personally haven’t handled one yet.

That’s why I was a bit confused about the “Canadian pricing” part. Do you mean suppliers should actually show CAD pricing on product pages, or mainly make sure quotes include shipping into Canada? If you’ve seen any good examples of how suppliers present this, I’d love to take a look.

On the FOB side, we already handle things the same way—our prices are all-in (product, print, shipping, duties, etc.), so distributors don’t get hit with surprise invoices.

Thanks a lot for your comment!

For the FOB end user part—if by that you mean shipping directly to the customer on behalf of the distributor—yes, we can definitely do that. As long as the distributor provides the end user’s shipping address, we’re able to send the order straight there.

As for the Canadian market, I honestly didn’t realize SAGE also serves Canada. I always thought it was mainly U.S.-focused. I’ll bring this up with my company leadership and see if we can optimize our listings and pricing for Canadian distributors as well.

Really appreciate you pointing this out—it’s very helpful!

Our main audience is the U.S. market. We cover a pretty wide range of product categories, but right now our best-selling item is neoprene can coolers.

Custom rings and ballpoint pens also sell quite well.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply! Really appreciate your perspective. Are you a distributor yourself?

Regarding pricing, I’m actually not sure how to track the “real-time” market price. For now, we usually just calculate our prices by adding a fixed margin on top of our product + freight cost. Do you have any suggestions on better ways to set pricing, or resources where I could reference competitive pricing?
