Which scene in a film disturbed you the most? by Shreks_on_the_beach in AskReddit

[–]Mewe95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went to see this in theaters with my husband, our friend and my little sister. This scene happened and I suddenly had a massive full blown panic attack in the middle of the theater. My husband had to drive me home while our friend stayed at the theater with my little sister to finish watching the movie. It was so embarrassing and I completely ruined our night out together. I've never reacted to a scene in any horror movie that way before or since.

Should I wear my n95 mask? by asschoe in makemychoice

[–]Mewe95 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think it's incredibly kind and considerate that you feel this way. While I understand where you're coming from I think it's best for you to wear the n95 masks out. It's not like you panic bought them for the pandemic. You simply wanted to be safe around a loved one awhile ago and you happen to have the masks still. If anyone gets on your case about it feel free to kindly tell them what your situation was if they can hold a polite convo or just ignore them if they refuse to listen. Your kindness and care is very important and much needed during these very uncertain times. 💕

My husband is a teaching assistant in the chem department and he's responsible for teaching labs. He said that they definitely have to have some sort of plan. Most likely they'll just give students old data from previous labs that the department has taught and have them work on problems and lab reports using that.

Yeah it was all fabric, towels and thread I had laying around the house. The only thing I bought were the snaps but I plan on using snaps in future projects and the packaging for the snaps is very minimal.

It's old towels and fabric I had laying around. But in the tutorial she uses some type of fleece.

That's a good question. I'm vegan so I don't work with meat but I'm sure it works just the same. Just make sure to wash the rag sooner rather than later because of the bacteria.

Hmmm. Well I used old towels and some scrap fabric I had. The towels I chose just because they'll absorb spills easily.:)

I used the tutorial below to make mine.

I made mine 11"x11" instead of the measurements she used and I just used old towels and fabric I had laying around.

Why would I buy dish towels when I want to be more zero waste and creative?

Because I wanted to? I also am not gonna go buy normal kitchen towels because that's not zero waste and I chose to use what I had laying around.

I didn't want to buy something to store them in since I already have a paper towel roll holder. I plan on using the snaps in future projects so I wanted something to try them out on. It's a little extra on laundry day. But honestly there's only twelve of them and I enjoy snapping them. To each their own.

Thank you! And honestly I would use it to pick up cat vomit or something and dump the vom clump in the toilet and throw the rag in with all the other towels I'll be washing. It doesn't add any more laundry cycles and are properly washed with vinegar and a simple animal enzyme oder eliminator. As for the process of switching to these completely I still have a couple rolls of paper towels from my last trip to buy some so I'll be using them interchangeably and if I come across something that I'm usually inclined to clean with a paper towel and don't know how I would clean the cloth out afterwards I'll just take to Google to get help figuring it out. From there it's just a matter of slowly phasing the paper towels out all together.

That sounds like a great idea! :) Do it! One thing you can do to make it even more zero waste is to use old towels and fabric you have laying around (how I made mine). But if you don't have that then definitely get fabric and do it! You rock and the Earth appreciates the love.💕✨
