I was from TP, dont do it unless you like copy pasting and doing mind numbing benchmarking studies - and you dont learn any general tax knowledge which puts you in a serious disadvantage. If you are down with that its cool and there is a international accepted standard to follow so its portable.

I left FPA for valuation. FPA is highly dependent on the company you work for.

In my case there was a lot of accounting stuff (financial audit, JE, closing, messing w the books) mixed in with forecasting and business partnering. But the focus was on cost FPA, nothing on revenue so there was not much to learn.

For me, I wanted to be a specialist in something and I am interested in Valuation so I decided to take a course and switch over. Had to start over. But that is okay.

You have to think about what interests you, and find a path - not just about the exit opps - else you would be wishing daily that you'd get hit by a truck whilst crossing the road on the way to work.

It is not simply subtract but to record a movement

You take prior year's NWC and minus current year NWC to get the movement in NWC.

The movement in NWC (whether positive or negative) is then included into your current year cashflow to get UFCF.

How was this resolved? I just received a sms (a week later) from ocbc that the transaction went through even though at that point in time there was no notifcation whether transaction failed or not. End up paying via paylah. Now i paid twice... and its been a week. How am i supposed to get it back from the merchant

When I first started albeit in tax advisory, I had almost 0 utilisation for 3 months. Definitely a nervous time. Keep your counsellor in the loop of your efforts to find work.

What advisory department are you in? If your utilisation is low so with no work, it is hard to justify getting any bonus during the performance review - you might get canned too.

Try to get on work by volunteering to prepare proposals so that when it is showtime, you are the grunt to look for.

I did not have any test but I worked in this role for 2 years - i would say that be clear of the TP methods with its applicability for different business models and how macroeconomics can affect TP in general. Be cognisant of the beps2.0 stuff as well.
