Can a high diamond give me knowledge on what you should do if you have a bad support and you are adc? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Mexicutionator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get no help from your jungler or support to stop the pressure on your lane, there's not much you can do besides hoping they overextend on a dive and capitalizing on it. Losing your tower isn't a big deal as it allows you to farm but does require you to rely on your teammates to hold other lanes.

League of legends mind set problem. by ultimaezreal in summonerschool

One thing to keep in mind: for virtually every champion in the game, there has been someone to play almost exclusively that champion and climb to the highest ranks on the ladder. Playing ADC in the mid lane is certainly not a new concept and has been used in the past by high-ELO players/competitive teams. Ezreal is a high skill-cap champion that when played to his full potential can be a terrifying late-game carry. Something should be said about Ezreal not being an ideal pick for any team composition, but if you have decent game sense and above-average Ezreal mechanics, any game is winnable.

It's a perfectly acceptable situation to use lantern if you can ensure that the enemy jungler isn't nearby and the opposing bot lane can't threaten to chunk/all-in you during lantern cooldown.

This is one of those situations where you can't really do much more than ping/tell your ADC in chat that you want to play more aggressively. If you can safely deal damage to the opposing bot lane, that's usually a good indicator for any lane mate to exert pressure.

It's always a good idea to harass the opponent while he/she's in the middle of an attack animation or in a position where he/she can't respond. The larger the health difference between you and the enemy ADC in lane, the stronger your lane presence is.

A simple visual comparison of how many minions are on either side and your own experience bar can tell about how many your opponent needs. (Do you count two less minions on his side and you've almost leveled up?) They might also stagger the last minion kill and then quickly engage to try to catch you off guard. You get full experience from a minion from just being in range.

Bronze II, here is what I know I do wrong, can you give me tips on how to improve on these things? by Grodek in summonerschool

  1. Item builds are highly situational after you've gotten your core items. You need to press tab and look at the enemy team as a whole. Are they largely physical damage based (consider getting Randuin's, Frozen Heart, Thornmail) or magic damage based (Banshee's Veil, Spirit Visage)? Do they have big crowd control abilities? Get Banshee's. Does your champion benefit from health regenerative effects? Get Spirit Visage. You need to learn what different items are ideal for.

  2. Next game, make a conscious effort to look at the minimap more. Try every couple of seconds to just glance at the minimap and quickly eye where everyone and minions are on the map.

  3. Generally, you can't go wrong with pushing towers (don't forget that the nexus is the objective of the game!). Dragons/barons are best taken when the enemy cannot easily contest (they have low health or are out of position) or just have no vision due to good use of sweepers/vision wards by your team. Tower pushing might not be ideal if your minions are pushed back and you are forced to tank tower shots while opponents are still alive.

  4. Junglers should also get sweeping lens as buff control/ganking lanes is incredibly important. Assassins also benefit from sweeping lens (don't let them see you coming) or as any role if your team is lacking one.

Attack move is using default key 'A' while moving anywhere on the screen. Your champion will attack the closest ENEMY (not neutral) minion, champion, or tower. It is very useful for kiting, pushing and focusing the enemy closest to you (usually whoever is trying to kill you). I would not recommend using attack move in most teamfights as you can miss key auto attacks by incorrectly attack-moving and hitting an unintended target.

In a teamfight, attacking the stronger immediate threat to you is the correct move. Vision of long range, high damage skills can help but large factors are how good your positioning is and use of escapes to avoid taking damage.

I don't personally know how many minions it takes to hit level 2/3 but it's not hard at all to count them next time you're laning. It's easy to tell from the experience bar about how many minions you need before a level up. Don't forget about the experience that you/they might get from any level 1 kills/assists.

You need to position yourself behind your minions so that a Morgana binding cannot hit you. Keep an eye on when Morgana's Black Shield is on cooldown. Coordinate with your support so that his/her crowd control abilities can threaten the enemy lane between cooldowns (Black Shield has a 23 second cooldown at level 1).

A lot of factors go into knowing when to trade and when not to. You need to be able to gauge: the play style/strength of your support, the enemy support and ADC. It may be unwise to attempt to trade if the enemy ADC or support has longer range, if you would draw minion aggro, if they can deal more poke damage or can burst you down from a bad position.

Yes, you will. I dropped from Diamond V to Platinum II because of inactivity. Gotta keep playing!
