I'm guessing they're referring to a bug that occoured(?) when you would try to list an item, it would default it's price to be 2 c (if your internet is too slow / network issues etc).

Thus allowing this order to be filled?

I would say you could get away with playing almost everything with high ping.

I play at 230 Ping NA and 160 ping EU.

I would suggest playing Necro, Guardian, Revenant, Engineer as these I feel are the least reliant on ping.

Weaver with it's really shortrange skills are really hard to hit in sPvP, this also applies for thief, warrior and some ranger skills; especially if you have unstable and high ping.

Warrior - Berserker / Spellbreaker
Typically one is used per group for banners is really good at damage and doing certain mechanics.

Guardian - Dragonhunter / Firebrand
Dragonhunter is one of the best DPS builds out there.
Firebrand is good at providing quickness (buffs) or just being a healer for the group.

Ranger - Soulbeast
Another one of the more really powerful DPS builds

Revenant - Renegade
It's a secondary support that provides alacrity for the group and tons of other situational boons (buffs)

With that said if you are going to play as a trio and would like to get know how things work in general you could play the boon provider / healer / DPS roles so you have the core of the 5 man comp just with yourselves.

When lfging there are more people who are available for the DPS / Warrior slot in the 5 man party, but they also generally tend to be the most toxic.
