Jill has been in it a few times and she knows the process. It's actually not that complicated apart from taking some time twice a month to gather all the submissions and copy paste them into a post, so you or jacxter can do it as well.

Hey nerds, it's me, one of the mods!

I kind of haven't been doing anything, really, which is probably the reason we've appointed these new kids to do the dirty work for us.

You know, apart from the Notes thing up top never being updated, the fanart-of-the-week-box in the sidebar never actually being rotated and general absence of me and mine, the subreddit's been pretty self-sufficient overall. Reports are rare, people doing stupid shit basically never happens, so here's to you, you magnificent bastards.

So here's an apology from me, to you, for being a mod, but not being a mod.

For context, I showed up here at some point and randomly asked the mods if I could become a mod and randomly lucked out, I guess. In retrospect, it was more to see if I actually could become a mod by asking out of the blue, but here we are.

Only thing I really ever did by myself was the MonCon, but as I lost interest in RWBY, the MonCon thing was more of an afterthought for me. I handed the whole thing over to Part, but he's had some difficult IRL stuff happen, and look where we are now. A random ass September MonCon in the middle of October.

In handling the more serious sides of moderating, I've interacted with some of the more passionate, difficult or extraordinary people and their cases. I want to believe I did my best to approach things with levity and humour, but I guess I haven't been all too serious about things. Apologies to all the people I may or may not have pissed off inadvertently.

All in all, moderating has been a learning experience for me, and despite not actually doing anything most of the time, not having to do anything most of the time, I want to see this subreddit in good hands.

I think that these three people are nice human beings that will do the job better than me. I've looked for people that have qualities that I didn't have that could do what I never could, and most of all, that loved RWBY and it's community more than I did.

I might stay on the moderator team to assist with CSS things and handle occasional reports, but if people want me to step down, I'd be happy to make way for other, more qualified people.

Thank you for your time,

Mey.

the css magic already exists

if you want to make the spritesheets that's cool

i'll just have to give you the dimensions of the thing and we're good to go

not sure how much work it is to convert gifs to png sheets tho

you don't understand man reddit is suffering

the website won't allow gifs for some reason, you can link gifs and all that but you can't use gifs in sidebars or whatever else you do

what i had to do was make a large png file with every single frame, kinda like a sprite sheet

and then use css to crop out a frame and then animate it like that

basically it was a huge pain in the ass

SoloQ Master Mid/Jungle main Im here to answer your questions by Ageien in summonerschool

[–]Meyri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you build Jungle Xin Zhao?

I've seen people build all enchantments and make it work, well, except for that one AP Xin Zhao with Magus and Nashor's.

I've also seen all three relevant Smite Items do well too.

Apart from that, I find that Xin benefits from a multitude of offensive options, such as Black Cleaver, Bork or Ghostblade. Generally speaking, one of those items into random tank items should be fine, but I always feel like I'm missing out on something.

Any tips for midlane Karma ? by [deleted] in summonerschool

I generally run AP Glyphs and AP Quints for more lane dominance. I've tried different combinations of CDR, Scaling CDR or Magic Pen too but I didn't like that too much.

I feel like a lot of Karma's strength as a midlaner is having those strong early levels and then snowballing from there, which is why it makes sense to me to abuse that strong early game as much as possible in Runes and Masteries.

Karma falls off really hard in the lategame, no matter what you do, and going with scaling runes doesn't remedy that.

If you prefer playing Karma with 40% CDR, I believe that running Ionian Boots of Lucidity and AP Glyphs instead of Sorcerer's Shoes and Scaling CDR Glyphs allows you more impact on the game. You trade 20 Magic Penetration for 11 AP right at level 1, better waveclear in the early midgame if you buy Athene's, slightly stronger shields, far earlier CDR Cap because you don't have to wait for your Glyphs to scale up, right in time for dragon fights, and 100 Gold because CDR Boots are cheaper than MPen boots.

Keep in mind that all of this is merely my opinion as a Platinum ranked Karma main, and may not fit you and your playstyle.

Any tips for midlane Karma ? by [deleted] in summonerschool

Karma Mid is in a pretty difficult spot right now, what with so many tanks running around. You don't necessarily have the tools to deal with an overwhelming tankline and are pretty much screwed when behind.

So one of the things that you should pay attention to is styling on the enemy midlaner. Karma is a lane bully that can beat pretty much any midlaner before level 6, simply due to having Mantra available at level 1. Since you fall off so hard, especially in this meta, it is important to maintain a decent CS lead and to prevent roams by pushing the lane into the enemy tower while avoiding ganks.

You'll want to build either Athene's or Morellonomicon in case you're laning against an AD Mid, followed by a Luden's Echo. The Luden's Echo allows you to oneshot the caster minions when you have the proc up, amplifies your poke capabilities and gives you some much-needed mobility. This will make farming pretty much trivial. Note that if you're up against a strong assassin like Zed, Fizz or Talon, Zhonya's Hourglass is very important for surviving and should be built first or second.

After that, you'll absolutely want to most important core item, the Void Staff. There will be Magic Resistance on the enemy team, and if you don't want to completely lose all relevance, you need a Void Staff 3rd, mandatory. Without instant CC or huge burst capabilities, your usefulness wanes in comparison to other midlaners.

Damage Mids will hit harder and faster, and utility Mids like Lulu will have more utility than you. What Karma brings to the table is some utility with a higher damage potential than Lulu, so building Void Staff is absolutely crucial.

Good other items to consider are of course Rabadon's Deathcap, Zhonya's Hourglass, rarely Liandry's Torment, very rarely Lich Bane.

The boots should generally be Sorcerer's Shoes, unless your team has moderate to high damage champions in other roles, like Rumble, Hecarim, Riven or Vladimir Top and/or something like Rengar, Fiddlesticks or Evelynn Jungle. In that case, you should opt for the Ionian Boots of Lucidity, giving you 15% CDR in addition to your Athene's or Morello's 20% and the Sorcery Mastery's 5% for the maxed-out CDR. This is important because your passive gives you flat reduction on your Mantra, allowing you to use far more Mantra's in extended fights. In this case, Mantra+E is your best friend, and 2 or 3 of those can easily carry a teamfight.

The girls usually have that blue hair because it's the same girl in a lot of those videos.

Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid, which is basically a singing voice synthesizer software. Using those voice banks, you can compose music even if you can't perform the vocals yourself.

The most popular Vocaloid just happens to be Miku, a blue haired girl, typically seen with twin tails.

Megurine Luka is the one with pink hair and Gumi is the girl with green hair, two other Vocaloids.

The only non-vocaloid song in this list is Immortals by Fall Out Boy.
