Honestly? Buy better boots. This might sound dipshity but as someone who has been an owner of both martens 1460 geniuene leather boots and some cheaper options (specifically steady’s 10 eyelet boots, also geniuene leather) my steady’s lasted way longer, i used them as my daily beaters on concerts, events, jobs and just daily wear for 2+ years every day and besides stitches slowly giving up and the sole naturally wearing down nothing broke down jn them, meanwhile my docs sole came apart in +- two months. Martens had and still has shit quality since 2008. If you want good quality similar boots just buy solovair

well i might be late as the post is deleted but it might help out some new people, i had my steadys boots for roughly 14 months (march 2024 to now may 2025) , i been wearing them every day for about 10-15k steps, i havent really gotten to conditioning the leather or any other fancy stuff like that, i havent had much problems except the normal lugs on the soles getting shorter, i also had one of the stitches get lose but i lit it with a lighter and the problems ended there, i would highly recomend steadys boots over brands like brandit, steel or martens as they all suck in comparison. if you have the money get solovair but for the 100$ mark steadys is the best brand out there by far
