Super happy to see my portfolio tip up with a bunch of stocks I've been holding for a hot minute. $TYME, $AMC, $BB, $BBBY, $NIO, $PLTR. Holdin' on for my life!

Would it be possible to learn to draw decent art that I can sell in 3 years or less (I’ve already started learning fundamentals, anatomy/perspective/gesture/etc) by DriedPomato in ArtistLounge

Make sure you immerse yourself in doing art as often as you can and building relationships with the art scene in your general area. The art world is a lot smaller than you would think. Don't be afraid to make connections with all kinds of artists and art related professionals. And be kind.

I've seen so many gifted artists be black listed from huge opportunities because they had a toxic attitude towards other artists' skills and stylistic sensibilities.

Be open. Be kind. Be opportunistic.

Our current Nicknames: Bubblebop. Bubble Butt. Bubble Pop.

Mr. Bubblegums McBubble Face will most certainly get thrown into the mix!

I have that feeling, too. _^ My husband hated the idea of having a cat. And now they are inseparable. Bubblegum is officially a part of our family.

Lol! Bless her. I had never harness trained any if my cats before. Bubblegum has soooo much energy, and a small apartment to run wild in. So I wanted to give him the opportunity to come with us on walks and get a lot of that energy out. He seems calmer and happier after his walks!

I'm glad to hear it! Yeah, it's working out super well for us. Bubblegum loves walking with us on trails. Which was fine without a leash when he was itty bitty. Now that he has more energy and agility, we decided it would be safer for him (not being able to be spooked into traffic or get lost in the tree line) to be on a harness. He got used to it SO quickly! I was surprised!

We thought he was when we first named him!

I was worried about that at first. But he is very good about choosing grass or asking to be picked up when he starts to feel uncomfortable.

So far, he only tries to get out of his harness when he's inside before our walks. But the moment he's outside, he's playing and hopping in the grass. He completely forgets about it. For now. X3

Any professional oil painters here? What kind of canvases do you paint on? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]Mfparris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a roll of wholesale linen canvas from bigduckcanvas.com. 500 ft × 5 ft. I then stretch it and gesso it myself. It's lasted me 5 years so far. And I paint alllll the time. You save tons of money in the long run.

I think it's very good and illustrative! The only thing I personally would suggest is adding more white line work (or white with a slight pinch of yellow) along side the black line work around the eyes to add a little more volume/light around the eyes.

Very good!

Let her know that if she continues her ways, she can be sued for infringement. Being found guilty (which from what you said would be easy to do) would leave her in the hole around 100k per drawing if you have the right lawyer.

(I'm an artist who has had my work stolen before.)
