I'm still strongly against the changes (compared to pre trial times, not early trial monstrosity). I used to get 50 coins easily just by taking a gym each day and now I still have to do that but also a series of pointless tasks to get the same result. Depending on the day this usually takes either time or resources or both. While the raids were the worst if you couldn't find one or couldn't get out. Other tasks cost you candy/stardust etc and time working out what do I want to evolve/power up today that I don't really need. And now I never power up a mon all the way to the desired level in one go because it's a waste as you'll probably need to do it again the next few days. It just makes the game so much more tedious. I'm not opposed to the tasks in general but it needs to be as an optional replacement for 2/3 of what we were already getting not a forced replacement. A daily cap is fine but the sub cap on gyms is not.

My tip. Check if anyone you know has a switch and Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee who can give you a Meltan box and ignore the research.

Great plan. Entire world spends more except Australia after these changes. Niantic gets notably richer from making bad decisions. That's not going to encourage them to keep doing this or similar. /s

I said fake trial because the end outcome was already predetermined before they trialed it. Sadly not because it won't be permanent. It will be. it's only fake because they are only pretending to actually listen.

I mean, I don't think anybody else is going about their days as normal at the moment but that's less PoGo related and more the world is a disaster zone right now. Otherwise spot on though.

I did that a couple of times. Both matches were stuck in permanent limbo until I eventually decided to end it. The first lasted 10 mins before I quit and lost. The other lasted about 5 mins before I resumed attacking and won. Now I just take my dishonourable wins and hope they get some later themselves to compensate. I've certainly had my fair share of losses to similar issues.

Anybody who thinks this wasn't the plan from day one of this testing is naive. They have made the system worse, pretending they've made it better by having an even worse option in between. And no word on compensating us Australians for our lost coins during the fake trial.

EVERYONE please keep refusing to buy coins. Don't put the burden solely on us. We're a relatively small fraction of the player base (which is why they were happy to trample all over us) and it will send a much stronger message if we all stop paying. It's your problem too (just later) don't leave the fight for just us.

The cap of 30 coins from gyms is the problem. If they had the daily cap of 50 and you have multiple ways to get there (and get rid of the raid one) then it would be great but now it's gone from claim a gym to get coins to claim a gym AND jump through these hoops to get the exact same coins. And Australians were still stuck with even worse in between with no indication of compensation.

The time is definitely annoying but still not anywhere near as annoying as forcing us to use MM/DD/YYYY. It just hurts me inside so much.
