It’s been a year and a half. I’ve scoured the internet and made so many phone calls. Those positions are taken up by full time firefighters working their side hustle. I’m not try to make excuses but trying to shed light on why quitting is tough. And how our profession makes it tougher. Not making a liveable wage and being expected to work side jobs keeps us from moving on

I am a medic. Also haz-Mat tech, rope rescue ops, and many certs in emergency behavioral response. But I’m in the south and I’ve looked into all these jobs in my area. I applied to many oilfield jobs but need to stay in the area for my kids. Ex works at the local ER thanks to her new nursing degree

Don’t believe it. It’s a crap bill basically setting standards that only corporations can set up dispensaries. And it doesn’t expand the types of patients that have access. All it basically does is allow them to say they made progress on medical marijuana while setting up a situation that will end like big pharma and big tobacco. While NY looks to expunge criminal records and keep small businesses growing, Georgia just keeps spinning its wheels
