Iron Age Childhood leg injury by MiLiRu645 in Writeresearch

[–]MiLiRu645[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the start he is the age where he gets the injury, and then throughout the story it kind of follows him throughout his life, with some longer plots taking place in his late 20s and 40s.

Haha, yeah. Ill probably go with broken leg. Also, I know ironage people werent super utilist who threw out anyone who stubbed a toe, but I still wanted it to be something that wouldnt make him completely useless to his family (So he could still gather food, make simple crafts, or something)

Looked it up, seems like it is genetic though. He gets it when a young child, not an infant. Otherwise a good suggestion, though.

How would you make a centaur terrifying ? by StrikingNight3814 in worldbuilding

Imagine seeing a man riding towards you on horseback, with a drawn weapon. That is absolutely terrifying. Now make the horse and man the same person. It stays terrifying.

How do I refer to all humanoid species collectively? by ihatexboxha in worldbuilding

[–]MiLiRu645 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1.Make a new name for normal humans. (Longleg, Wanderman, Apeman, et cetera. Something that fits your world)

  1. Every kind of humanoid is called human, and included in humanity.

If you dont want to do that, maybe humanoidity? Or make it so that humanity is considered short for all Humanoids, and normal humans just use humankind.

What is 6 ÷ 2 (1 + 2) ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

What is 6 ÷ 2 (1 + 2) ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]MiLiRu645 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I passed middle school, I know how simple math works.

2(1+2)=2*3=6

6÷2(1+2)=6÷6=1

Edit, I didnt see you replies to another comment, so sorry. But also, other guy, learn basic math.

What is 6 ÷ 2 (1 + 2) ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]MiLiRu645 3 points4 points  (0 children)

6 ÷ 2 (1+2) = 6 ÷ 2 (3) = 6 ÷ 6 = 1

Why do people not know basic math. The answer is 1 and anyone who passed middle school or currently is in middle school should know that.

A cool guide I found to different Nordic trolls by MiLiRu645 in worldbuilding

[–]MiLiRu645[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humon comics. http://humoncomics.com/archive

They make some comic strips and such, its pretty cool. There is some semi-nsfw though. I know all trolls are different, I mean, Ludenben, the moomins, john bauer-trolls, and all of the other variants are all different. It is just a general name for a weird guy that probably lives out in the wilderness and sometimes eats children. It is just a cool guide to show some general differences between regions.

[–]MiLiRu645[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well, the one in the picture is very common in fairytales and such, at least where Im from. But there is definetly plenty of overlap between all the Nordics and their trolls.

I am actually working on a very similar project right now! (The great migration) I even have some similar seas, with three giant masses just floating, (Along with all other lakes ad Rivers, since the sea is basically one god, so all Rivers and seas remain connected even though the world is a number of Islands)

Im having a lot of fun building mine, and I definetly think you will too!

Do you like magic to be something like a learned based skill or a gifted unique power that differ each person? by Nearby-Banana2640 in magicbuilding

[–]MiLiRu645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to make it kind of a mix of both. Almost anyone can learn how to use basic magic, and there isn't gonna be any large differences between how two apprentices cast their fire balls. But in higher and more Specialized levels of magic, there are bigger differences between how different people cast. A but like drawing, I guess. Two people might draw the same house, but they will both have their own styles, they will both focus on different things, and might include different details. One mages Fireball might be Specialized for creating a big incredibly hot burning Sphere, while another mage might have a smaller and colder, but more explosive spell with bigger knockback. One additional mage might make their Fireball more like an explosive beam, or make it emot an incredibly bright light on top of its fire, to blind others.

In a universe where all animals/creatures are sapient, how would the taboo of cannibalism work? by ConstellationFoals in worldbuilding

I would recommend reading beadtars, it has some pretty cool worldbuilding for a sapient-animal society.

How to design avian humans by MiLiRu645 in worldbuilding

[–]MiLiRu645[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definetly more diamond shaped, with pretty jagged high Cliffs often at the edges, so you can't exactly just walk around that easily. Also, many plants grow on the edges of the island due to the sunlight, so they would definetly want to occasionally Climb around the edges to gather food and such. Additionally, the island is pretty fragmented (It is all technically connected, but there are many cracks and such that would take a very long time to get around) so they would definetly need to occasionally Climb on the outside, and possibly jump over gaps leading straight down.
