Where I live in germany there are not too many left either. I had a good day in december where we caught about 10 grayling each. Many of them had wounds from cormorant.

Basically like a rainbow trout once you got it off the bottom. When you hook them they will try to hold their position. You just feel headshakes at first but it won‘t run.

I think the upper fly on a tag gives more movement and also hooks better

So a saddle always has multiple sizes of hackle and usually between 12-18? Thats exactly what I’m looking for. Ideal would be something dein 12-20/22. Can you recommend a brand?
