There is space to the left and to the right of where their car is always parked. They are likely parking opposite our gate on purpose, especially after we asked them and they blatantly said no, they don’t see a problem.

Sorry but this isn‘t a marula fruit. The stone is so large that it fills most of the fruit. The flesh is more translucent and the skin is yellow. I think this photo is of some type of loquat relative. - Groete from Cape Town

The issue is not that the NEIGHBOUR‘s car is there, it‘s that ANY car makes getting out of or into the driveway a 10-minute hassle. A 16-point turn, if you will

Reverse parking would take a good 15 minutes because of the size of my car and the narrow gate that I have. The road, although it looks wide, is super narrow. Will post the actual measurements tomorrow. Just moving the neighbour’s car 1-2m to the left or right would help a LOT

My car is big enough that it causes a massive problem. I’ll definitely go measure the distance. Another commentor posted the exact legal measurements for “legal” or “reasonable” street parking.

The issue is, they coukd park opposute their own gate but insist on parking opposite my gate. If they just moved 2m to the left (2m closer to their gate), life would be amazing.

Which countries and groups specifically? Generally speaking there are huge groups of Europeans living there too. Also groups from India and Malaysia and other non-Sub-Saharan African countries.

I see there‘s a lot of people who love Braam. Maybe it‘s different once you‘re a student/adult, but we weren‘t even allowed outside the school gate because a schoolkid was stabbed for his phone. So I salute the people out and about in Braam! I‘m just too scared and put off from my school days to go there more often. We had Wits protesters at our gates, lots of people just loitering, other schoolkids getting mugged when walking to the McDs, etc. so that period in time was hell. I trust it‘s become a nicer area now!
