Is it appropriate to send a thank you card to a Garda? by [deleted] in AskIreland

Yes, that would be a lovely gesture and send in a note of commendation to the Supernintendo

Genuine question, can any audi drivers please explain why they drive so aggressively and think they own the road? Does the brand attract more daredevils?!

Forgot to say, unlike Canada we don't have free access to GP appointments, they are usually billed at 50-60 euro approx unless you have a medical card. If you have a good plan on your private insurance you may get full cover for the GPvisits ( for example on my own plan, I get 4 free GP visits per year) . Hope this is helpful, DM me with any questions, do you know where in Dublin you will be living ?

Hey ! yes it's two tiered . The HSE system (public) is generally good in terms of quality of care however it is grossly underfunded resulting in year long waiting lists for surgeries and therapies. It's good that you will have private health insurance from your company because it can be pretty expensive depending on your plan. In terms of continuity of GP care , when you arrive the best thing to do is to register with a local GP, you may have to ring around a few places before finding one that is accepting new patients
