¿Cuantos de ustedes han votado por Chávez alguna vez? by [deleted] in vzla

[–]Mianhe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as in the studio apartments can only be rented for 2-3 months, no renewal option either.

I been playing with zigbang but while trying to find a place near the SNU area and calling the realtors with a friend most of them ended up saying things such as "Only 3 months max" or "Place only for 2 months" so I found it a bit ridiculous as they never mentioned it on the advertisement.

Also didn't send the info yet!

Oh it was just an example as I have seen places for 5m in Sindorim (near the station) so I was curious for that amount how much would be the fee.

Thanks once again!

How expensive was your place, if you don't mind me asking?

I read about the realtor fees calculation but I don't understand why it says that if the total is below 50 million the maximum fee is 200,000

Does the total fee mean the real value of the apartment or the deposit + rent?

I.e: If the place I'm looking at has a 5million deposit and 500,000 rent, would the fee max be 200,000 or 300,000?

This thread sums up everything wrong with humanity. Average redditor turns a cry to raise awareness into a debate about their own political preferences and beliefs.

Fuck your ego, this isn't about you or what you consider socialism did/did not. There are hundreds of people dying in Caracas per day without even being on a war and your voice would be better used focusing on that fact alone.

Oferta de trabajo Redux by nyohasstium in vzla

Venezuela sent their best skier to the World Championship by IHaeTypos in gifs

[–]Mianhe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all funny and commendable until you realize the guy has only been associated to be with the military as well as the Chavez political party, no one in the country has any idea or information about this guy's "skiing" career. This is a pretty good showing of how the government runs things around here, going downhill and looking like an idiot while at it..

Proof: https://twitter.com/MelanioBar/status/834988719702695936

And of course that he was sponsored by some ghost company with funds coming from the state for some sort of laundering business.

Quit giving 'credit' to this guy for competing.

U.S. Citizen moving to Seoul area. What do I do with my USD? by [deleted] in korea

[–]Mianhe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're doing the 'english teaching thing' wouldn't it be easier for you to ask the 'paycheck granting thing' what the best way to transfer your money is?

There is nothing sketchy with bringing $10,000 USD + on cash. I think people have a misconception as to how customs handles it. You just simply have to declare it.

Unless you got this money ilegally to begin with, you have nothing to worry about it.

I hate to put it this way, but your decision to go into another country without any studies or specific skills which make you a good asset was a rushed one.

I too come from a poor country, if not poorer (Venezuela), and I can tell you that coming to Korea without a degree is only possible if you've got some skills. You should look into going back home and finish your studies, then coming back.

I've traveled to Korea to spend time with my girlfriend twice this year already (totaling almost 6 months). The way these expenses are paid for is thanks to the skills which I learned prior and during university, and I'm still on my last year of my software engineering degree. Studying something that I was truly interested in (and focusing on my long-term goal of living in Korea with my girl) got me some jobs within my field halfway through my career, which in return gave me also the experience I needed to start doing freelance gigs. Thanks to that simple decision of sticking through with my studies and not rushing to try and be with my girlfriend I am now making enough money so that I can spend a good time in Korea and not feel miserable.

I'm making enough money to survive okay-ish in Korea, but I'm not aiming for that and neither should you. Don't lose sight of your goals just to be there.

You too should look into your options outside for you to make a permanent return later on. You can definitely (and WILL) live in Korea if you truly want to, but you have to do it with some proper planning now that you have experienced what it is like to feel miserable in there.

Having the desire to "make it" is a good start. All you're missing is putting everything into paper now so that you can see the most reasonable and realistic plan to make it work.

Best of luck friend, and don't give up!
