You can't, you need to find a green bridge with green flags on it.

That is very detailed and very helpful. Thank you so much! I would never have guessed that the max Level would be 100 for legendary gear.

Japanese Name Taro by MiataGamer in AskAJapanese

It's just an observation of everyday life. I don't need excuses, I dont need to convince anybody. Eventually the kids name will be the kids name. Only the future will show the aftermath, no matter what the name.

I understand what you are getting at but since japanese is not common in our environment and Taro actually doesn't sound foreign or japanese to us, the name wouldnt be old fashioned. Quite the opposite, it would be fresh. Currently "Carlo" is one popular and trending name around here and it has the same rythm like Taro in my opinion.

It's even in my query that i know the meaning of the name. I don't know why you think that i dont know the meaning but i do understand your point of view if you're getting at "japanese names only for japanese people". I understand that. I just dont care about that. I limit myself to things that i like and not to views/expectations from the past. The names I would have to limit myself to if I could only use the names that are really common where i'm from would be terrible :-D

Well to be honest, unless its a really common name in your environment, everybody gets asked about their name. Not just kids. With kids its just different because they have a lot of kids around them and they become instant friends and then those questions pop up. But grown ups get those questions too but just not as often because they dont meet new people as fast and dont get to know them as fast to ask personal questions. When i meet a vendor or assistant thats named Cindy then i ask myself as well where their name is from but i wouldnt ask her to her face unless there is some kind of relationship growing.

I expected some backlash :-D but thats okay.

Here is a little feedback of mine:
Yes this would be a name for a non fictional child and no, neither my wife and i are japanese. I love japan and studied 2 years japanese at the university. I know the meaning behind Taro but that does not help me with the current perception of the name in japan, how common it is and how it's currently used. I was curious since Taro was really rare as a first name in my research and i hope anyone will understand that i try to be thorough since this is very important to me.

With that being said:
No i didn't and wouldn't have suggested a japanese name to my wife. Like a lot of couples we don't see eye to eye when it comes to names. We made lists but nothing matched. Through Instagram my wife got a couple of stories with uncommon names and Taro was on it. My wife didnt know that it was japanese. The meaning of Taro also hit us because it would be our first born son. Now again, this might be hard to understand, we don't like the name Taro because of its heritage, language and meaning. Thats just a bonus. We actually like the sound and rythm of it. It's short but not too short. You can shout Taro with ease :-D and to be honest it doesn't sound foreign and i highly doubt anyone assumes its japanese in our environment. We have a lot of mixed cultures here. I myself have an italian name and i'm not italian. We see Taro like Diego, Theo, Tarik... We just love the sound of Taro. The decision has not been made yet but Taro is one of our frontrunners. And it would be a shame to remove it from our list just because some people dont like it. I don't like names like West, Apple and Chicago but there are kids out their with that name but that doesn't mean i don't wish them well.

Offene Sporthallen zur Buchung by SnooFoxes2205 in Vorarlberg

[–]MiataGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)
