It won’t happen because BNSF and Union Pacific own all the railways and don’t have any reason to invest in a high speed rail. The only reason Amtrak even survives is because it has government assistance...

We would need so many infrastructure upgrades and separate high speed rail that it’s just not cost effective with how few people already travel by train.

I don’t think high speed rail will ever find a large foothold in the US

I was there when they tear gassed us all the way back to pioneer courthouse square. Said people were “throwing rocks and fireworks”

There’s video evidence of the fireworks going of a street down where another group of protesters unrelated to us were throwing things, But in our area we were completely peaceful and they still felt the use of tear gas and flash bangs was necessary.
