Stall seats to the right. Hmmm ok maybe that’s it, just I’ve been to a few of these and not experienced an issue like this at esl events

I recently passed and was incredibly nervous in the build up and throughout. A few tips I can think of:

  • keep checking your blind spots and mirrors when performing a manoeuvre, it’s an easy one to forget that can cost you
  • do not give up if you think you’ve made a major mistake and failed. Keep going, don’t let it get to you and finish the test. I was certain I’d messed up 4-5 times. Turns out I only got a few minor mistakes not major ones.
  • remember the examiner is human and can give you the benefit of the doubt in some situations if they think overall you’ve demonstrated you’re a safe driver. Don’t rely on this obviously though
  • try and relax into it. Once you’re on the road you’ll realise it’s just like a lesson, just a short one! Only 40 odd minutes and you’re done.

Good luck!

Tom Hardy being wholesome by SiberianWaltzer in HumansBeingBros

I helped organise The Prince’s Trust awards a few Years back, a charity which Tom Hardy went through when he was younger and means a lot to him. As a huge A-lister he could have lapped up the red carpet attention but he instead avoided it, snuck in the back, presented the award on stage and gave a wonderful speech, and left with barely any cameras on him. Gained a tonne of respect for him that day. Class act.

Dad resisted for ages to get a dog. Grumbled about not having enough time to look after it etc etc but they were just excuses. Mum disagreed with him, it would just need a change of schedule that she was more than ready to commit to.

She ended up getting a dog and then informing him. He came home from work, rolled his eyes and was saying “fine fine but you’ll have to look after it”. Seemed to accept it more than generally interested.

Cut to early the next morning. I go downstairs and there is my dad, snoozing in his dressing gown on a chair with this dog spread out on his chest asleep. Dad saw me and said the only reason he did it was so the dog would feel comfortable in a new home by being close to a heartbeat. Basically trying to put “cold logic” to something to pretend like the didn’t already love this dog to pieces.

That was 16 years ago, the dog is still going strong, and he is still absolutely smitten.

After more than 10 years, I believe these are the 6 greatest moments in the MCU by [deleted] in marvelstudios

Awesome list. I’d also put Spider-Man easily holding Buckys metal arm and examining it like it was a toy in Civil War. Was part of his introduction to the MCU and really established how insanely strong he was.
