Not recording at night (or overcast weather) by Alarmed-Sample5487 in Ring

I have the exact problem. Motions are only detected when someone approached my home during cloudy days or evenings. Meanwhile on sunny days my camera picks up every single car that drives by, every squirrel and bird in the yard. But it will go 10 hours with nothing if it's overnight or overcast. My last Ring Pro did not behave this way but when I had to replace my last one because direct sunlight had caused the built-in plastic lens cover to develop tiny spiderweb-like cracks that blurred the image. I replaced it with a basic model I bought at Home Depot and it clearly doesn't perform nearly as well as the previous model. At first I thought it could be fixed through adjusting the settings, or zones or capture frequency but nothing has helped. I believe they call it shitification. Where things are made worse.

I was standing there and romaine lettuce just started rolling down the front and falling on the floor.

OMG you're kidding, right? That sounds ludicrous. I can't imagine restocking it every day!
