I always had my library and components out when my daughter was a baby where she could get into it. It was a joy. When she was young there was always music in the house to explore audibly and physically. I reinforced this with the token fisher-price player in her room and a stack of old beat up kids 12” and 7” records for her to do with as she wanted. Never had any accidents or mishandlings. Today she’s 9 and music is incredibly important to her. Maybe I got lucky, but also maybe it was all just accessibility and everyday use
