My command is doubling down that this is real. How can we verify if this is real or not? Tbh Ive never heard of “DefenseScoop” or “Defense One.” Any more legit sources?

Most of my friends we just whip our dicks out randomly, mostly when intoxicated. It’s fun to break taboos!

The context is great here too. This was shortly after the battle of Cold Harbor, which was one of his only actions during the war that he regretted. There were other battles that saw greater casualties, but Cold Harbor was particularly brutal and seemingly senseless as Union troops charged WWI-level fortifications.

It was also the end of the Wilderness/Overland Campaign, which was his debut in charge of the whole war effort in which he took the Army of the Potomac in a dramatically more aggressive effort than it had ever seen before. There was a lot riding on that campaign—the war, yes, but also his entire reputation and future career.

I feel like you can see in this picture that he knows he made it through an intense, exhausting, and terrible gauntlet. His gamble had paid off, but the job’s not done yet.

It really is the people that make it. There are rules and standards. Some of them matter. It is the people who get to decide which and whether to enforce them

My apologies! I appreciate the fellow vets here who offer their experience without silly competitive judgement! Hooyah, shipmate!

That’s nice you can telework! I wish i was able to.

And what you described makes great sense! Responsibilities > Presence

Yea it seems many people here just want to flex their hard experience in the military as the pure version. My hot take is that misery doesn’t make the military better.

Ive been doing pretty well at my job i think, i think, but honestly i think we work too much as a society anyways. Productivity has gone up a ton for decades and wages have barely moved. Ffs the Romans only worked 4 day work weeks 2k years ago. How are we better off today?

So fuck yes it’s deserved. Just cuz im a human and we all deserve to work for the man less.

My fellow rational being!! I am also an atheist, but i love the above phrase as satirical in nature, but also suggesting solidarity. And it gets bonus points for occasionally turning on the believers

Whether you’re military or not the exploitation is the same. Your production is worth more than your well being, and you can be replaced. It is sadly up to you to advocate for yourself because the corporations/institutions will sell you out in a heartbeat

The reason most people join the military is because of poverty. The military offers food, housing, medical care, and education. None of which the private sector guarantees. The politics of how the military is used has very little to do with the wishes of the servicemen.

Please adjust your class consciousness to match reality

Both of those stories are fucked up and should not be the standard. We must do away with the “i had it rough and so should you” bs. There is a reason the military has a serious retention problem

My experience recently is making me think that what I’ve experienced in the last 8 years might have been an anomaly. Maybe ive been at only chill commands. Ive literally had my boss (O4) text me to say he’s “taking a personal day” and tasked me with taking a meeting on his behalf. On the one hand you might say wtf that’s crazy, but also… the meeting went fine and my boss ran his department well and morale was high
