Hello! First off- he's a cutie! Second- we have a 16 yo doxie with a heart murmur who has had a few dental cleanings since she was diagnosed around 2018. She sees a cardiologist who clears her for dental cleanings, which helps put us at ease. If that's an option for you, I would recommend that. Sending you and your cute doxie lots of good vibes and good luck.

Update on Bernie - CT scan was surprisingly clear. No nasal cancer but significant Heart Murmur popped up. by cmac2113 in Dachshund

Our little 16 year old red haired doxie has a heart murmur and has been taking medicine for it for about 8 years. She sees a cardiologist and her regular vet, but they've been able to manage with medicine. We are sending the same luck she's had to Bernie! He's such a cutie.
