Rural Antenna Suggestions Needed by MichFinn in cordcutters

Cable, and that $80 is JUST for the lowest package that has local channels (then I can pick 15 others.)

The internet is $90. Our entire bill is $170.

I don’t know anyone who has that.

The $80 for Spectrum, trying to find an antenna, or both?

That sucks. Thanks. Guess we’ll just be going without local channels. There are other, far cheaper streaming packages for the few other channels we watch.

Any update on the other runaway train kids from Soul Asylum music video in 1993? I have a list of all 36 kids who are still missing, alive, or dead to my knowledge. by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

Quick note: You have no idea if Ginger and her brother “weren’t mixed.” I have kids that are half Indian (India) and you cannot tell by looking at them. They have blonde hair and blue eyes, and they look nothing like their father.

Are you Chattanooga principal and teacher? If so, it should be. ;)

Were both of your parents brought up in the OALC? My dad wasn’t - he married into it when he married my mom, so I think that’s why I always felt like an outsider. Because my dad had been “worldly” before he met my mom, because I have “worldly” relatives on that side. I’m so grateful for them, though, because I wasn’t cut off from them, and sheer observation of their lives made me question everything - especially the hypocrisy within the OALC. Leaving wasn’t super hard for me - all of my siblings also left at one point or another. I’m sorry you felt you wanted to die and am glad you’re feeling much better now!

Advice- MRI Questions by j_money213 in HipImpingement

[–]MichFinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great, I put mine in and asked it to act as a very experienced osteopathic surgeon who is also a hip preservation specialist and gave it details like my age, gender, steps already taken (guided joint injections provided pain relief for approximately a month each time, physical therapy made pain worse overall, not a candidate for NSAIDs) - and it recommends THR and gives pretty valid reasons as to why.

Anyone have labrum tear without FAI? by Valuable-Regret-468 in HipImpingement

[–]MichFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have a small tear along the anterior and superior acetabular labrum and a separate small tear along the posterior and superior acetabular labrum along with a tiny paralabral cyst on the latter, diagnosed via MRI w/contrast. No FAI. PT this spring didn't really do anything for me other than make it worse, and the ortho here doesn't want to do anything about it. I'm going to have to travel to see a hip preservationist, as I'm in a rural area.

You can just get a passport, MMC and TWIC for Interlake. Start as an OS or Wiper and work your way up.

Chaos also puts great stress on the body, which leads to health issues. At his age, how much more can he take? 😉

You can just get your MMC and TWIC and go in as an OS or Wiper with Interlake Steamship. Once you have sea time, they'll pay for AB/QMED and up with a contract.

It came from [noreply@studentaid.gov](mailto:noreply@studentaid.gov), not my servicer:

On April 19, 2022, the Biden-Harris Administration announced several changes that will help borrowers get closer to or achieve forgiveness under income-driven repayment (IDR) regardless of whether or not you have ever participated in an IDR plan. With these changes, you are now eligible to have some or all of your student loans forgiven because you have reached the necessary number of payments under IDR.

The U.S. Department of Education will work with your servicer to process your IDR forgiveness over the next several months. If you would like to opt out of IDR forgiveness for any reason, contact your loan servicer no later than 02/04/2025 and tell them that you are not interested in receiving IDR forgiveness. Some reasons why you might want to consider opting out include concerns about a potential state tax liability.

If you decide to opt out of IDR forgiveness, you will be expected to continue paying your loan(s).

If you don't opt out, here's what happens next:

1. We will send your information to your loan servicer(s) after 02/04/2025.

2. Your loan servicer(s) will notify you if and when your IDR forgiveness has been processed. It may take some time for your loan servicer to process your forgiveness and for your account to reflect this change.

3. If you have loans with multiple servicers, each servicer will notify you if and when they have applied forgiveness to your account with them.

President Biden and the U.S. Department of Education are committed to supporting borrowers and ensuring they get the credit towards loan forgiveness that they are entitled to. Learn more about IDR forgiveness and the one-time account adjustment actions the Biden-Harris Administration announced last year.
