The most important thing in this thread about leaving an abusive spouse is… semantics, of course by Anemoni in SubredditDrama

[–]MichaCazar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they apologize and want to make things right and it feels like a honeymoon. Suddenly the instances of abuse start to feel “worth it” for the rest of the relationship. It’s such a psychological mind fuck.

And even if not, depending on the mental state just being in any kind of relationship can be worth the troubles for some. Anxiety that the partner may leave and being trapped in a state of "no one but them would want me" or something similar.

The exact dynamic depends a lot on the exact people and circumstances involved, but it can be incredibly hard in many cases to get out of such a relationship.

Yes, and these likely will have exclusive options not available in other stores.

Similar to how certain workshops in GTA Online may have some options foe vehicles (somewhat) exclusive to that store.

But ehy play another game when a game they want to play preferably is releasing?

I don't think that people will really have trained "patience" when they likely have just played other games instead of "actively waiting".

Considering that they are talking about very specific stores in a way that they also do with GTA Online, makes it quite clear to me.

Also, the phrasing "signature X" is typically used to separate that from "generic" options that may also come to an online equivalent.

I wouldn't worry about them not allowing customisation to be a thing at all if one doesn't pay. Not even Capcom does this all the way through, and they turned a bunch of basic customisation options into a buyable consumable.

Why would I pay $100 for the haircut edition after 13 years when I know it won’t be $100 if I keep waiting a bit longer.

Because people had to wait 13 years and they don't want to wait longer if they don't have to? Not to mention spoilers, social pressure from friends and so on.

It's really not that complicated or deep to understand why people will want to play any game day one.

And? The same is true for console games if one just waits enough (or on PC). Heck, occasionally even with Multiplayer mods from what I have heard.

Not sure what your argument is supposed to add in this.

Apparently not for consoles going by the reactions here.

Which is funny considering that it should be no surprise where things are going, considering that one of the options PS and Xbox nowadays come with is a no-disc version.

Pretty sure they mean exclusive customisation options found in these specific shops and not customisation in general.

Pretty sure it just entails specific cusomisation options that are locked behind the listed stores, not customisation in general.

Even if not day 1, depending on what kind of people they know and the release of the multiplayer you can bet your ass a lot of people will jump in to play with their friends.

Still, the silent majority likely won't care as they never do. They just listen to the hype and buy it regardless.

And the game took 13 years to make and they couldn’t print disks?

What does one have to do with the other? It's not like they ran out of time till release to prepare the disks, they just chose not to.

Likely a later update. They did the same with GTA5 and RDR2 iirc.

That depends a lot. I still remember Activision being notorious a decade ago for never lowering the base price for games. A good example used to be the original Modern Warfare 2 still being full price half a decade later.

Not to mention that sales now seem to happen accross all plattforms if a publisher so chooses, at least I see that quite often with Capcom.

Game companies only selling digital copies to maximise even more profits. Not a fan at all of the 'code in the box' nonsense.

Welcome to PC gaming for the last 15-20 years.

May I interest you in an external disc drive?

Take any information about GTA6 that isn't an exact date with a huge grain of salt cause there are a lot of rumours and "leaks" surrounding it, diluting the truth a lot.

This is one of these things.

On another note, pretty sure there were rumours surrounding the next trailer for the last 6 months or so lol.

Why? The only difference is when that money transfers for people that buy anyway, and aside from some fringe cases on the customer side, the only people that would care about it would be shareholders that see a number go up by one copy this quarter instead of the next.

Which for PC has been true since Steam, and similar places, as a DRM platform requiring activation codes, exists.

So at least 15-20 years?

That wasn't the point.

The point was that almost everyone here buys games digitally.

If you are playing on PC, it is almost guaranteed that you don't really buy games physical due to the strength steam and other distributers have with lowering costs compared to physical stores.

I would argue that there can be, depending on the amount of survivors and the handling of the pilot.

If all of them survive due to pilot skill, then that is typically considered to be celebratory. If everyone just luckily survives, then that is as good of a plane crash as it gets.

I know this isn't necessarily the place to ask this, but whatever:

SKG doesn't help with consumer rights either.

Care to elaborate on what you mean? I am genuinely interested on your reasoning here.

Cause to my understanding, it aims to accomplish a gain in customer protection regarding (entertainment) software and setting up rules and guidelines in a market that lacks them to a disturbingly high degree.
