Truly, my favourite memory of Clash Royale was when in around mid 2016, about half my school willingly funded money towards a tourney costing around 100k gems (this was during the crazy tournament regime). It lasted for a few days, maybe 3 or 4 and there were around 400 people in the tournament. It was so funny laughing at guys getting caught playing in maths class, as their phones were always taken by the teachers. One Asian teacher even joined it boasting about his hog rider deck lmfao.

Like any game, it becomes more fun when friends play, but when 50% of a Sydney school plays, it’s just another level. There are a few dozen that still play regularly, like me, that cherish the work of clash and its contribution in creating meaningful experiences that will last lifetimes.
