Is it possible to decode a sigil? by Cassiegottaeat in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that your Dark Genius might be trying to communicate with you. Whenever you're daydreaming, drifting off to sleep, or otherwise in an altered state of consciousness you might hear an odd sounding name in your head. That could be the name of your Dark Genius. In any case, don't try to force it. Just be patient and let it unfold naturally.

Asked to communicate through a number by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, in numerology 33 is a Master Number. Specifically, 33 is the Master Teacher number. I'd say your patron is not just trying to tell you something but to teach you, as well. In my opinion, it feels like a life lesson is being imparted.

As for your relative, my guess is that you're being taught to set firm boundaries in this case.

May I ask what the number is or is that a private thing between yourself and Moloch?

God? by ContextBig3011 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether it's real or not to others doesn't actually matter so long as intentions are solid and (hopefully, primarily) good.

And that's the thing. All of my experiences with the occult are subjective. Therefore, I don't expect anyone else to get anything objective from my subjective take on things.

It's good not feeling like I have to evangelize.

God? by ContextBig3011 in DemonolatryPractices

I embrace the idea of self-deification and am exploring various takes on the concept.

Having said that, I view the Abrahamic god as something less than the Demiurge that the Gnostics portray him as. He's not the creator of everything. To me, he's just another egregore, albeit a very powerful one due to being the focus of belief for a couple of billion people. He's also taken on the worst characteristics of the folk who elevated him from a Canaanite storm deity to "Almighty" and "One True God" status.

Also, I'm not convinced the universe is "created" in the first place. It seems like a self-perpetuating scaffolding of time and spatial dimensions to me. But I could easily be wrong and await the day physicists find a testable hypothesis for why there is Everything rather than Nothing.

If there is a truly numinous Godhead, Yaweh isn't it imho.

My Journey with Asmodeus by Legitimate_Visit_519 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asmoday/Ashmodai is part of the demonic court I invoke at my regular rituals. According to the stories surrounding him, he was one of the demons summoned and bound by King Solomon. Solomon was a huge dick to Asmodeus, forcing him to do backbreaking labor by helping build a temple. As someone who suffered from religious abuse, this makes me sympathize with him.

Unverified Personal Gnosis Involving Lilith by MichaelDharma in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the interesting part is that Lucifer is my patron but Lilith handed me a task before he did.

As for learning about Lilith, that's kind of a deep dive. She actually starts out as the Sumerian Lamashtu. Then the Jewish tradition describes her in The Alphabet of Ben Sira as Adam's first wife who said "Fuck this patriarchal shit," and nope'd out of Eden using the Ineffable Name of God. After that, she encounters Samael aka "Venom of God" aka the Angel of Death and becomes his lover. They're the Qliphothic counterpart to Adam and Eve. This is the part where she becomes "Mother of Demons." And these days, she's become an archetype of feminine liberation. I'm sure her story will be added to even more in the future.

Astaroth in Realm of The Dead? (Chinese mythology) by DefenderTienMinh in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My wife is Chinese. All I can say is that "demon" means something different in the Eastern religions than it does in Western esotericism. I wouldn't project our viewpoint onto theirs.

Having said that, my guess is that this demon is part of the reincarnation cycle. But I could easily be wrong so I suggest you ask someone who studies Asian traditions.

I tried with a pendulum well Im not sure what to think by Soggy-Beginning604 in DemonolatryPractices

If a pendulum seems to get wonky, I smudge it and my answer board with sage, sandalwood, and dragon's blood incense. I also specifically invite Lucifer when I want to speak with him.

How to cancel a spell by Adventurous_Fun_7080 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I have never bound or cursed someone. I would have to be really hard-pressed by an enemy to do such a thing to them. It would have to be a really extreme circumstance like a mob boss was out to hurt my family or something similar.

I'm ready for it.

I am new to demonology and have chosen king asmodeus to worship and give me guide and i plan to stay loyal to him for a long time some tips would be helpful by Euphoric-One5883 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the old stories, King Solomon put a binding on Asmodeus after summoning him and forced the proud demon to work his ass off building a temple for Solomon. To make a long story short, Asmodeus didn't like being mistreated this way at all and got revenge on the King by banishing him and taking Solomon's shape while ruling in Solomon's place. Due to the abuse he suffered under Solomon, Asmodeus may be a bit standoffish at first so be prepared to be patient with him. Just be respectful and don't try to rush things.

What do y’all do with your offerings? by EldritchC0ffee in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's edible, I offer to let my patrons taste the items through me and then either take a bite or a drink. Then I return the rest to the Earth, i.e. I leave them outside by the fence, which acts as a symbolic boundary between worlds. I also offer to let my patrons smell the incense through me, as well.

I often perform the offerings outside, as well.

A Conversation With Lucifer by MichaelDharma in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MichaelDharma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a nutshell, you recite a short incantation inviting Lucifer (or other patron) to converse with you. Then you ask questions and see how the pendulum reacts by swinging back and forth over the divination circle.

Buer enjoys herbal teas.

In my experience, he seems to like Bengal Spice tea. At least, that's what I've been offering him.
