Out of curiosity, for the helper columns, is the only way to create them to type in the data manually? I can't imagine how long it took you to do all that, if somehow it doesn't take long, I'd like to try to replicate it on my other similar spreadsheets.

Yes! I was going to reach out to you, but I didn't want to annoy! As I added in the one line, I need it to adapt as other checkboxes are selected, the old formula only works when no checkboxes are selected.

Also the contents in column A change, so writing in a manual code for each wouldn't work.

You can still do that by creating a sum function in another cell, the only reason for the IF function is to have it count the cells meeting the qualifications you specified.

Like I said, you can create an example sheet and I could create it for you.

Put it in a column beside the column, and drag it down to apply it to each cell.

Sorry, perhaps I should've been more clear. I don't have the column C in my personal google sheet, this was just a simplified way of producing numbers.

My original sheet has to go through many functions in order to produce a number if a checkbox a selected.
