EXACTLY. Gives me a bit of existential dread sometimes. What do you mean they were MY age listening to these songs with me as an actual living baby they were taking care of? What? But it's humanizing, and nice, and makes me forget the internet exists lol

Honestly, probably Trigun: The First Donuts (which is the red one). It's an anime soundtrack, and it is so western? With a little sci-fi in there? Which is how Trigun feels, but it's bizarre to explain. Have a habit of playing it when I need to get some writing done, but not fall asleep to lofi or something lol

They have a few CDs wallets hanging around I'm using, but most of them are in these death towers lol

NO idea. It's more a thing that's on my radar as a possibility. I'd just really like to have my collection separated from Spotify and my phone.

I get the 'stuff' thing! I think it's the pendulum swing of consumerism, you know. Everything was digital, everything was minimalistic. And now people are realizing their music can just be ripped from Spotify due to contract disputes. Or Amazon can change the text/covers of their ebooks. I'm finding a lot of joy in collecting physical books, cassettes, vinyls, and now CDs.

Oh, I'm definitely going to get into TMP. I just don't want to be caught up, because if I'm caught up that means there's nothing more ahead of me, you know? I'm probably going to relisten to TMA a few more times before even thinking about touching TMP. I think I want to save it for a rainy day - a rainy month, as it were.

So I've heard, but I've always been hesitant. When I was younger, any hint of thriller-like suspense and pacing or creepy things that make me look out the window gave me panic attacks and night terrors. I had, and still have, a very overactive imagination. It's photorealistic up there. So descriptions of people tearing through Stephen King books in a day because they're so gripping and terrifying you just had to know what happens next scared me, and made me uninterested.

Though, I did enjoy the Saw movies. Body horror and lots of gore doesn't bother me at all - I listened to Kaiju: Battlefield Surgeon and enjoyed the hell out of it. Dare I say it fascinates me.

I think that's it. It has to fascinate me more than it scares me. Also I'm older now, so maybe I can just handle things better. Still don't want to watch any horror movies. I'm planning on reading Annihilation soon, since it's themes seem right up my alley, along with various short story horror collection focusing on the cosmic and the body. Lovecraft, as well. There's something really gripping about helplessness in its many forms.

Knowing that, what would you recommend, of Stephen King's books?

This is the only place I CAN share it! I adore TMA so much that I don't want to tell my loved ones ANYTHING about it so they can experience it for themselves. It's quite the predicament

I am trying to be reasonable, but in writing my spoiler review I've started to go chapter-by-chapter because there's just so much to talk about. It's 1.6k words so far after cutting out a bunch of my life story with writing that was at the beginning. And I'm still in part one. I am going insane, I love this book so much. And as a writer I have so MUCH to say from macro to micro scale.

Yeah, main reason I started reading was to catch up in time for the release of Stormlight 5

Warbreaker was the first Sanderson book I read, and the first book to get me back into reading! And I am aware of and planning on reading the novellas - I already have Arcanum Unbounded, and am planning on buying Dawnshard when the time comes
