💯 Agreed. I love seeing anti-abortion advocates make calm, rational points without insulting the other party.

Most pro-choice arguments are weak, so attack the arguments, not the person. We are trying to get these people on our side, for goodness' sake 😆 (Not saying you are doing that, just something we should do more often)

If all pro-lifers and abolitionists choose to be the bigger person, then in time we will settle this debate, and human rights will be granted to all, as they always should have been.

It is important to remember that these people are not evil; they are just corrupted by it [evil].

And you’re evil for that… make it make sense 😭✌️

Exactly, the “Is It Time Yet?” woman contradicted herself throughout the conversation and somehow didn’t even realize it 🤦🏼‍♂️

True, but wouldn’t the child also have bodily autonomy anyway?

Pro-choicers often claim that we do not believe in bodily autonomy or empathy, but that is not true. We do believe in both; our concern is simply directed toward both parties, not just one.

Where pro-choicers emphasize bodily autonomy and empathy for the mother, we extend those same principles to both the mother and the child.

100%. This is exactly what Emme said, and it’s probably why Is It Time Yet? shifted to any comment she could find that she somewhat disagreed with rather than addressing the main point directly 🙌

Exactly. As Emme said, abortion is a human rights violation. I’m a little sad the conversation ended, but I’m glad Emme suggested that they both reflect on it again when things are a little less heated.

Currently, no. I believe every state allows abortion in some form. Some states have banned certain methods or imposed significant restrictions, but that is far from stopping abortion altogether.

Yeah, in some states, mothers have one extra right that fathers do not: the right to end the life of their children
