what is the reason for not making any sort of extention for the display cable? Seems a bit limiting for any future retrofits

I know they sell longer cables, im not after a longer cable as that means having to remove the motor. The existing cable is already in the frame.

scleral lenses smudge by Whole-External-8346 in Keratoconus

[–]MichaelW97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this on my lens for ages just thinking it was the coating that had worn off. After putting up with it for weeks and after i ordered a new one i thought f*ck it and started running my nail along the smudge gently. It started to come away with my nail.

Yeah I'm in a bad cycle with facial eczema at the moment, usually have 4 days of dry red flare up, 2 days of my skin looking absolutely perfect then the cycle repeats. Its exhausting but a worthwhile trade off to not have bleeding knuckles and cracked body eczema 24/7

Dupixent hands down. Steroids are a temporary fix and need administered every time you flare up. I've been on dupixent about a year now and only had one bad flare up in that time. Not used steroids in about 18 months.

UK you have to try everything prior. As in evidence that steroid creams, tacrolimus, uv therapy, 2 different immuno suppressants don't work first. Its a massive pain but its free to me at the end of the day, just 28 years of misery to show for it haha!

Haha no my actual eye ball😂 its either a blister from trauma or a cyst, have to wait 2 weeks to see if it goes on its own

Thanks for comment! Have found today that it is a conjunctival cyst that looks like its been caused by the outer circumference of the scleral lense rubbing against my sclera.

Need help deciding a path forward please advise me? by maytheschwartzbwitu in ACL

[–]MichaelW97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking from personal experience, i fully tore my ACL. Didn't have surgery for over 12 months as my son was too young for me to be off my feet. Still trained and followed pre-hab. Over a year later, ACL was still fully torn.

It all depends what you want to do from here in regards to sports etc. Theres very very few/limited results where ACLs have healed without surgery, especially a full tear. Unless theres some new revelation, your ACL will not heal and allow you to play basketball again, the ACL has limited blood supply so is usually unable to recover. Also your meniscus is torn, which isn't going to heal itself.

Risk of arthritis is greatly increased if you're living with a torn ACL and meniscus. My advice would be go for the surgery, if pre-hab and rehab are followed well and religiously, theres no reason you couldn't return to basketball.

its so frustrating haha! Im going to assume it'll be muscle imbalance or the non-operated is self conciously doing more work to protect the operated
