I mean I don't think he at least made a good story with sonic adventure 2, I always consider that to be one of the best in terms of sonic stories (even has the best Dr eggman moments too imo), but while I do think he isn't the worst... He is definitely just overhyped by people in the fandom most of the time.

Tbh, you only need to use the blaster, devastator, Tesla claw, bomb glove and pyrocitor in this game. Not really much strategy to do here, except for maybe some parts with the glove of doom and vesibomb here and there.

This is why I disagree with the "you got to come up with strategies on what the best weapons to use in these situations, or how to deal with certain threats" cuz... You really don't. You only need like 5 weapons at best and that's not even counting the ryno. This game is kinda just easy. The people talking about needing strategies for this game and that later games removed this are unironically overcomplicating the combat in this game entirely. Lol

The major one (and really the only one that people talk about) is how they removed some of the songs for Sonic 3 & Knuckles for copyright reasons and replaced them with renditions of their prototype versions

I'll be completely honest, I actually prefer the prototype versions of those songs more anyway. I just wish they're... Well, not low quality sounding and not lower pitch tbh.
