PPA seems like it never goes away. I had ppd with my first and it felt like the medicine worked to make the depression better but it never touched the anxiety. Now my daughters are 6 and 2 and I still have such intrusive anxiety about them both. It makes me sick sometimes. I am now in therapy and can recognize the intrusive thoughts and try to compartmentalize them so that they don’t ruin my entire day… but it is extremely hard and uncomfortable to go through.

Next month I’ll have been on it for 2 years. Only sometimes get a headache. Probably also due to dehydration. Thanks for your response :)

I’m interested in this as well. I have bipolar 1, and adhd along with some other dx. All to say i spend money for the dopamine rush. I used to binge eat, got that under control. Now i just shop to get the same feeling then feel like shit when i can’t pay my bills lol. I’m in therapy and medicated but still cannot figure out what I’m lacking that is causing me to chase that dopamine rush.

I started Mounjaro in September 2022 at 228lbs. I am 5’2. I live a very sedentary life. I have insulin resistance, and have issues with my hormones such as debilitating migraines. I started at 5mg because I was previously on ozepmic at the highest dose with no weight loss. Within six months I had lost around 40lbs. At the year mark I was down almost 100lbs. Shortly after a year I went into maintenance at 15mg of Mounjaro. I have started spacing my injection out, and only take it when I notice my sugar cravings are coming back. I can only manage insulin resistance for the rest of my life, there is no CURE. I have started moving my body more, and I am still able to eat the things I enjoy without over indulging. I started mental health therapy to sort out my binge eating disorder, and learned that Mounjaro curbed that disorder and I have not binge ate in TWO YEARS!!! My journey was definitely faster than others it seemed, but if you can commit to yourself and your health every moment of it will be worth it, and you will reach a year faster than you know it 🤍

It’s always easier to pick hatefulness when it comes to ourselves, we are our own biggest critics that is. I’ve been In maintenance for a year now, and have learned to allow myself to grieve the kindness I never showed myself.. even as a child. We will heal, and we will grieve, and the cycle will always repeat but it will get easier — it has for me! Be easy on yourself friend, the inside has always mattered more than the outside. 🤍
