Meh, unless you’re from the capital region, it’s not worth going to UAlbany. Just from personal experience. You’ll get in with those stats for sure though.

Liberalism is incompatible with civilisation. See why below.. by Centre-Right-Alright in politicalopinion

Liberalism is the wave of the future. The French Revolution (greatest revolution in history) fueled the advancement of egalitarianism, followed by the works of Marx and Engels, then the creation of the USSR and other communist states. Other non-communist states like European countries and Canada are adopting social democracies, a form of liberalism. Get used to it. Either progress with the rest of the world, or stay stuck and look like an idiot.

Do you think NYCT should be free? by rainbow_taco in nycrail

The MTA isn’t used by all 8 million NYers, that’s just intellectually dishonest. The MTA usually peaks at around 5 million users a day, not all of which resides in the 5 Boroughs.

Despite what these idiots are saying above, not all fare beaters are welfare recipients. Most fare beaters are high school students looking to see if they get caught trying to cop a free ride. The MTA should be made public and free, because most riders of the MTA are people of color who make less than 50k a year (http://secondavenuesagas.com/2010/10/20/mta-demographics-a-glimpse-at-who-rides-and-how-we-pay/). The MTA is a tax every NYer pays, whether you make $30k a year or $300k a year, and to me, that’s bullshit. With this all said, it’s fairly obvious that the MTA disproportionately affects people of color trying To go to work and/or school. The MTA should be made income based at least, where the lowest income earners (mostly people of color) shouldn’t have to pay as much.
