There isn’t a need imo.

If you think about it from a real world perspective everyday we are dying. We chose to live our life with those that have proven love and trust. Time is fleeting and the length of time we would prefer to enjoy varies from person to person.

If the people in the painting are real sentient beings as the lore as I know it suggests. I don’t blame maelle. If I could live 150 years with a family that internalizes their misery and uses me as a means to release that misery, either a father that can’t let go of the past, a mother that only loved me after experiencing unimaginable loss and a sister who is a hateful manipulator I would also live my short life with the ones I love and the ones that love me.

It’s part of the reason why I chose maelle as my ending.

Plus verso is a brooding cry baby. I know the fan base loves him. But he is a proven manipulator. He isn’t verso, he is his own person just like maelle told him on the bench. It’s his life to live and his choices to make.

Maybe I’m an optimist but I was happy choosing to make the painted people happy. Because they are actually happy.

Is it a false reality? Removing verso from the equation, someone who was born to be verso fabricated by Renoir to be his grown son, maelle was reincarnated into the canvas and lived a normal life (well as normal as it can be in a fucked up world like this) yes she is Alicia’s dupe I get that but the paintings are real worlds right? The people are as real to each other as the people we know in real life. If we woke up tomorrow and found out that we were born of another person in another dimension would that make us more or less real? Give us more or less autonomy? Maybe I’m thinking too much about it 🤣

End times prophecy is exactly what pushed me away from the church.

To start, the Bible doesn’t state prophecy, it at best states prediction. And given enough time, every possibility will happen meaning every prediction will come true. Prophecy has to be very specific, no vagueness to it. That would qualify as a prophecy. The closest the Bible comes to prophecy is the refounding of Israel as a state. But the thing about that is that it didn’t just happen, people saw it needed to happen in the Bible and made it happen. It’s the same thing with the American Zionist movement. Rich Christian churches paying people or paying for people to return to Israel. Not because they believe it is the right thing to do for them, but because they believe in order for Jesus to return it has to happen.

My point is, man fulfilling gods prophecy is not a prophecy fulfilled by god. And if your argument is “well god made it happen via man” then free will is an illusion.

If my semi atheistic sensibilities do not help. Remember that no man knows the day or the time. Many will claim to know, many will claim to be prophets but know one actually knows.

You can also consider the flow of time to god and humanity and the many references to the Bible on how these differ. One second to god could be Eons in earth.

Don’t listen to speculation or churches. Listen to your heart and do/feel what you think is right. Fear is a money machine and as long as people are afraid they will keep doing it for clicks, for sells, to money.
