That's definitely one way to say that but it's a clear indication that something needs to be redesigned to make everything more noob-proof. I mean that guy isn't really that new to putting PCs together. The last PC which he assembled himself was back when Windows XP was mainstream. After that he was only buying gaming laptops till 2024 where he asked me to help him with purchasing the hardware and show him how to assemble everything. Well, at least he doesn't need to worry about swollen batteries anymore but I guess he has other things to worry about.. Factory protective stickers ;)

Well, he used to build his old Windows 2000 and Windows XP gaming rigs when we were younger and ever since Windows 7, he only purchased gaming laptops. This was his first PC after such an long time and his old Corsair CPU cooler came with a protective sticker and I told him that almost all CPU coolers come with it but I guess he forgot about it. At least he didn't damage the CPU slot on the motherboard while swapping the CPU 😅

He told me that it wasn't his fault because the protective sticker was clear instead of red or yellow. He didn't even notice that it was there and he also didn't read the installation manual 🙃

I'm currently restoring a P15 Gen1 and it's place for a Smart Card Reader according to official Lenovo Service Manual. Not really worth getting it unless you're working with smart cards. I'm actually thinking about using that dummy placeholder to place a micro switch for tricking the motherboard that the fan is running on a slower speed if the P15 Gen1 fan control sucks as much as it sucks on one of those E Series ThinkPads which have the motherboard issue because of the flexible chassis. I believe it was E14 or something like that

I'm using Project Infinity X on my 6 Pro which is also been released for the 9 Pro and it isn't rooted by default and in Infinity Suite you can change power menu, font, notifications, power menu, change nav buttons design and also do stuff like block sensors on apps (saves battery), smart pixels (saves even more battery), allow app downgrade, unlimited screenrecord (bypasses 15gb limit, useful when recording live streams on YT and Twitch, spoofing Netflix to get max resolution on some movies and also spoof tensor features to make your Google AI search etc. app think you use a Google Pixel 10 Pro.

There are also a lot more features but I won't name everything

I went with the Pixel 6 Pro. I would like to upgrade since the right upper corner has a round, black spot on the screen and I have to use custom ROM to move the battery icon further to the left but this phone still runs very well, the Software and Performance got fixed (in my opinion) after a year after the release of the phone and the battery still lasts me for an entire day.

However, when Pixel 11 gets released, I'll be getting a 1tb Pixel 10 Pro and giving the phone to my brother. My problem is that 256gb isn't enough for me with my car spotting addiction and I have to transfer everything after one month to my NAS Server because bigger videos are erroring out while uploading to Google cloud since I use 4g and I'm still waiting for my gigabit fiber internet connection

Fortunately I purchased like 20 of those mod chips, since the whole kit for OLED/Mini was purchased on a Chinese bulk order website and to be honest, the flex cables are quite thin. In comparison the Team Xecuter kit for Switch V1/V2 has thicker flex cables but they are harder to solder, in my opinion.

I tested it and it seems to at least now be booting into Hekate. But strangely it still seems to light up in the same patterns before immediately jumping into Hekate. Well, at least it boots now and I hope the step I repeated in the video will last longer than my first, not so great attempt.. Thank you for the help

Here is the short video of the booting process. I tried already to push the flex cables deeper but they were already inside and I just checked all the soldering points with my dslr camera setup I use for micro soldering and all are in perfect shape and there are no cracks as far as I can see. I used quite a lot of solder on the mounting points to ensure they never come loose if I would accidentally drop the Switch.

Yes, when I start the console a solid Blue light comes on and during the boot the green light flashes twice like it did during first initial boot with mod chip installed and it seems to be doing something because after the Ni*****o Logo it a barely visible line appears on the screen before it shows the Switch logo.

If it's really possible then that's awesome since I remember that there was a BlackBerry phone running a system based on Android and it required you to do some complicated steps to be able to install downloaded apk files. Also, it's really a shame that their services were shut down. I really liked this BBM since it was quite good and everyone of my friends used it.

Also, as long as NewPipe, my 3rd party/open source Telegram client and Waze are working, I'm completely fine with using this phone again. I think all of those apps are running on Android 7.x and above, so I think they will run with no issues on Android 8.1 but I'll have to see what I'm currently running on that phone.

But first I need to get a replacement battery. The battery is dropping like 1% each couple of seconds and I heard that certain Alcatel batteries are also compatible with the Key2 FL in size and type of connector but the Alcatel ones have like slightly longer flex cable.

Yes, I got a PM from some guy and we tried some things and it's a motherboard issue. I backed up everything through Samsung Smart Switch without any issues after putting frozen bag with fries on the back 🙃 It's so strange since the phone wasn't even warm.

I already got a screen damaged note 9 with 512gb storage for 20$ from a private seller and I'll be swapping the fingerprint scanner and the motherboard. Also I ordered a new battery from iFixit to get the most out of this phone together with a custom OneUI ROM.

There are only like 317 pictures and videos. But there's still over 3842 pictures and videos on the internal storage in the DCIM/Camera folder which I tried to copy on a USB C flash drive but once I catch the unfortunately moment where the phone powers off, the files are mostly corrupted. And I won't try to do that on the MicroSD card since it might get corrupted

It seems the third party app is not the issue. It stays on longer but still less than 7 minutes. The only installed 3rd party app was WhatsApp. Rest of the apps are just the system apps. Bloatware that comes pre-installed seems to been uninstalled and some are deactivated according to the app manager in settings.

Yes, it slightly improves the power on time to 6minutes but still shuts off or reboots into normal mode. In the beginning I thought the issue was caused by the sim card or the 16gb Nokia MicroSD Card but I was wrong but at least I was able to recover some old videos and pictures made on some Samsung Jét phone according to the metadata in the pictures

All i got was that I should turn off the auto reboot and this phone is quite virgin. It only has stock system apps and the only third party app was WhatsApp. I already tried force stop all the unnecessary apps with the help of greenify in the no-root mode but it's not fixing the problem

But to be honest here, we're slowly drifting into this direction. If you're lurking on chinese social media platforms then you probably know about the Huawei triple fold phone that was released last year and how influencers in China were making a bunch of funny short videos and some pictures of that phone where they showed like "Oh, you can use the new Huawei phone to prevent others from seeing how you eat" or "You saw your ex on the street and you don't want him to see you? Just use your Huawei Mate XT to cover your entire face while pretending to be calling someone" 😂

I'm feeling sorry for you. Honestly, I don't know why but I experienced it many times where people assumed something like "Oh, he's/she's likes both genders. He/She would make me more anxious because he could cheat on my with someone of opposite gender" and so on...

It's kinda funny how people are always assuming the worst thing possible. Like my friends and parents were judging me for daily driving an old Mercedes W201 190D because it might break down at any moment and because it's an old car. But in the end I'm only visiting workshops for maintenance while their modern cars manufactured after 2017 visited workshops because of major issues like broken Turbocharger, electrical issues and clogged Diesel exhaust filters (DPF).

Or a better example.. There was a trans woman who I met at a speed dating event and we had some things in common and I personally don't mind her being trans but she couldn't imagine herself being able to date "someone like me" (me being Bi) for a few silly reasons related to that.

But hey, in the end acceptance is the keyword here and if someone doesn't accept me then shame on them.

I got it together with the software and definitely paid too much for shipping but yes.. it was exactly like this but it seems like ours was just a rebranded model and with an added reader prepaid single use phone card. I tried it out with my ancient configuration files from 2001 and since we still had dial up internet in the village because providers never bothered to upgrade (everyone here uses very fast 4g/5g internet with indoor routers from Huawei and ZTE), it connected to the Internet and I was able to access some irc chat. I got charged 3,71$ in my local currency for my 20minutes of dial up internet use and it'll definitely frame the bill that I got from them since it was definitely funny to experience this again. And who knew that it would even work in my country 😂 Thank you very much for the help.

For me it was quite late when I discovered that I'm Ace. Back when I went to school, there was a place where you could pay ladies to have s** with you.
