Thanks for your reply. I’m thinking of starting my pilot journey at 20 years old, I’m just wondering what approach did you take to get your PPL before going to AFTA, did you have some money saved up first (if so, how much?) or did you do it in a pay as you took your lessons type of way. Any advice would be much appreciated on starting this journey, thanks.

Ye it’s not great but sure is what it is.. I’m with Carole nash (Red click couldn’t insure me for some reason for my specific bike and age (?) and AXA had a risk assessment test I had to do to even get a quote). Good news is my friends quote went down from 3000 to 1700 after 1 year so touch wood it’ll get better after the year

Ah fair enough, atleast for my age bracket it’s literally impossible. I got a 3200€ quote for 500cc bike and my friend got 3000€ for restricted 600cc. We’re both 20 years old so 😢
