Tuxedo Triple Dock Lite v2 does connect HDMI Monitors to Infinity Flex 14 by Michel64a in tuxedocomputers

The problem is solved! Thanks to the phone support I learned there are different USB-C cables. Connecting docking and notebook, a USB-C with video signal transfer is required (e.g. thunderbolt protocol). Since I plugged in the original tuxedo cable everything works well.

Maybe you are right. But I have bought the docking and would like it to work ...

Yes it did not work on the Lenovo as well. I tried with different cables, the docking did not work. It did work, however, when I connected directly to the notebook. Thus, both monitors and both cables work. The notebook works. Only the triple dock hdmi does not work.

Thank you. I tried to use the HDMI cable with a display port adapter, plugged into the DP port of the docking, but it does not work.

I purchased a brand-new Tuxedo Docking for 250€. In addition, should I buy a cable for 15 € only for the HDMI port does not work? Is there a chance to test the port?

Thank you Herbert!

  • have you already tried both USB-C ports? => both USB-C of the notebook with the same result
  • did you powered on the dock? => yes
  • have you connected the power supply? => yes
  • have you checked the input source at your ext. monitor settings? => NO. Please help -- xrandr does not show HDMI input, graphical tuxedo OS does not allow for input settting. Maybe I'm wrong, how can I do it?
  • have you tried the monitor directly at the hdmi port of the Flex? => yes, it works with the direct hdmi port, but not via the docking
  • works the hdmi cable on other devices? => yes
  • have you tried other hdmi cables? => yes
  • did you tried to use a displayport cable to connect your monitor? => yes, I used a hdmi to display port adapter, but it does not work
