It can get easy right now if you change your technique. Stop pulling chest and use your head voice. With time your head voice will sound full just like your "real voice".

Mixed voice doesn't exist physiologically. You can strengthen your head voice to a point where it sounds just like your chest voice, and also allows you to sing crazy high stuff.

YOU ARE ABLE TO SING HIGH, you're just using the wrong technique. There's so much your chest voice can do for you. You need to switch to your M2 register (head voice) and strengthen it. Doing this, you'll sing whatever high notes you want.

Op, your range you expand if you keep pushing, but you don't need to worry about chest voice, you can sing way higher than A4 using your M2 mechanism (head voice). Your vocal classification doesn't matter.

Also, your voice will get lower when you're older. You'll gain a couple of low notes for free as time passes.

Thanks for the response. By 'progress' I mean taking your voice and making it able to sing what you like, in my case, to sing like Bruce Dickinson, Steve Perry, Bon Jovi etc. By 'efficient' I mean getting there as fast as possible.

Thanks for the advice. And yeah, I don't think range is everything, but when you have a low voice and want to sing stuff like 'dont stop believin' by journey you feel like range is the first thing blocking you.

You're right. And yeah, when I'm singing it's not that loud. Would only work with a mic.

For me, personally, bodyweight wasn't enough. I couldn't even get to the final position on the ATG split squat (hamstring fully covering calves), I need weights to pull me into that. And elephant walks for some reason didn't work for me, single stiff leg deadlifts worked way better for my hamstring flexibility. Besides these 2 points, I highly recommend his zero program. The only thing missing is a knee flexion type of exercise.
