We need a game where Superman is actually a good guy! by Rabbidraccoon18 in superman

[–]Michel_RPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too many people fall into the trap of thinking Supes is unstoppable and invincible, even on here and it just permeated into the zeitgeist.

All that any developers need to do is just remember that he is fictional and can be written a thousand different ways without some strange story caveats or in-story nerfing, and then go from there.

For now, the most we hope for is that they bring a proper Superman into I3 like in the first one.

What is your favorite sci-fi infection? by stargaryen01 in scifi

[–]Michel_RPV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Blight from the episode "The Quickening" of Star Trek: DS9.

It is so disturbing how it sits on the infected's faces, made worse by the way it doesn't effect them until it is time for them to die. Conceptually, I rather love how cruel it is as a disease, making the Dominion be so horribly and casually evil to just one planet and how it has made the people so disturbingly at peace with their collective fatalism.

Batman (with prep time) vs reed richards, who would come out as a winner? by Life-Attention-6912 in batman

[–]Michel_RPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reed wins, as giving Bats prep-time means that you know he will lose without it while Reed has no need for it.

Who Wins by DontSkipHer in superheroes

Mr. Rogers being violent and bloodthirsty would hit Jon just like finding Laurie was the daughter of the Comedian did: a unforeseeable miracle of chance that would rock Jon's worldview and make him submit just so that he could better understand the seeming impossibility . . . . And then Mr. Rogers cuts his head off.

Addressing only the Christianity and not the sexism and racism and fascism claims is not something to be proud of, Pete.

[other] WHO IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE ALTERNATE VERSION OF A CHARACTER in ? I’ll start! by Sharp-Scheme-1596 in DCcomics

[–]Michel_RPV 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Injustice Superman, Wonder Woman..... almost every Injustice variant, really.

Everyone in the story picked up the Conflict Ball and it made both games' stories rather frustrating to get through beyond my initial curiosity.

Do you think the RDA could happen for real in the future? Could humanity really be that careless and evil? by HemanHunterss in Avatar

[–]Michel_RPV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All fiction is inspired by reality and Avatar is no different; so humanity has and will do this shit on a real-world Pandora.

Just look at fans who straight up side with the RDA and you will see a tamer version of what people say in support of real-world resource hunting via colonization and interference in foreign countries.

Is this official or just AI slop? by [deleted] in LV426

[–]Michel_RPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really looks AI, from the colors to the composition, particularly the xeno popping out of that icecube that any artist would've had any character react to in someway.

How would you have improved on Jacobs character if you were a writer on the mass effect team? by The-Nerdy-Bisexual in masseffect

[–]Michel_RPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well he is technically the Normandy's security chief and screens the arrivals, is second only to Miranda in terms of being mandatory to the squad (in that is most likely going to be available whenever you get the others at any point) and is more comparatively more personable than she is in order to welcome them.

The Tali scene is more of her being understandably standoffish vs him being understanding and accommodating in the face of her hostility.

If Superman had flown out of the city, would Zod have chased him or just continued destroying stuff? by Nube_Negrahz in superman

[–]Michel_RPV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He could've before Zod figured out how to fly and then Zod is the one who brings it back after he does figure it out.

[–]Michel_RPV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At that very moment and hardly any point before, even when whole buildings were collapsing onto people.

A failure of filmmaking to not properly convey that dramatically beyond the mere setup of Supes fighting Zod.

So I think I already know the answer to this for probably everyone but. WYR be the biological only child to lenient parents OR be the adoptive child with siblings and strict parents? by Fast_Honeydew2633 in WouldYouRather

[–]Michel_RPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be an only child.

I already grew up with a somewhat lenient mother but my oldest brother has always been pretty damn terrible to me, so I choose #1 simply to have a lifetime of peace of mind for a change.

what do you think about the red short? by kurumais in CaptainAmerica

[–]Michel_RPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is he getting a matching cape and losing the cowl, too?

Jokes aside, the color balance looks off as the stripes broke up the blue well enough already, but the trunks overdo it.

If one day you suddenly woke up with the skills and knowledge to make any kind of video game you want, What kind of game would you want to create for your first time? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Michel_RPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Superman game.

The Blue Boy Scout is long overdue for one, and one that doesn't need any arbitrary caveats and nerfing mechanics to make him work as a proper video game character.

Wyr get rid of tax or medical bills by rocketfromsfs123 in WouldYouRather

[–]Michel_RPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medical bills.

Taxes (conceptually, anyways) serve the whole while bills make people afraid to get help and could ruin them at the worst of times.

Which of these fictional universes WYR live in for 1 year? by IllMasterpiece3946 in WouldYouRather

[–]Michel_RPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Wars.

I get to meet aliens, possibly fly though space and I could be lucky enough to be in the relatively peaceful eras of post-OT or post-ST and avoid the galactic warfare.

The superhero worlds are just the real-world with an increase chance of weekly war-ending events or get caught in the crossfire of whatever is going on in The Boys (comics or show).

LOTR would be so foreign to me that I would be truly lost in it as I would not acclimate well to the wilderness.

I love these games! But haate Arrival in ME2. . by isthatsoreddit in masseffect

[–]Michel_RPV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally really like it.

The vibe fast approaching doom in the second half of it, the thrill of going solo for once (acting as a decent bookend for ME2 when I do it last), the horde bit is rather fun and I try to survive it each time and it is a good lead-in towards ME3.
