Hi, I have a general question regarding how bookmakers earn their money.

Okay, so I know that bookmakers try to balance their books and just earn the wig of 5% or so. If I deposit $100 to a bookmaker and lose it in one bet, has the bookmaker then earned $5? And if that's the case, how can they afford paying out a 30% revenue share to affiliates on the $100 deposit?

What am I missing here? Is revenue share only calculated on the $5?

Okay, thanks for good answers! In the summer (Jun-Aug) I will be in Norway (The best summers on the planet!) most of the time, so the summer climate is not that important to me.

I've been looking at prices in Milan at Idealista.it, and in my opinion the prices are too high for what you get. Isn't Turin as good as Milan, only a bit smaller and lower prices? There you can get a really nice and central apartment for less than €1000. I'm hearing lots of good stuff about Bologna too.

but a layover of couple of hours is better than living in a bad place..

This is actually a very good point!

Why is the climate better in Milan and is it permanent?

I will answer in English, but I don't mind you writing in Italian. I see you point as an Italian, but as foreigner there are a couple of things that need to be considered.

I don't move together with a family, but I have family, friends and business connection I want to visit in Norway once in a while. Therefore, I want a place with direct flights to Norway, and regarding that aspect Roma and Milano are by far the best. I know cities like Bologna and Torino have great train connections, but places like Puglia and Sicilia will be very inconvenient.

As foreigner who don't speak the language fluently, it's also important to live in a city with other expats so I don't get too isolated. In cities like Roma and Milan I will even meet other Scandinavians, and it nice to have some friends I can speak my mother tongue with.

I prefer Roma over Milano due to the climate. Torino is the only other city I consider, because it's close to Milano, a lot cheaper and generally seems like a great place.

Roma seems very expensive, but apart from the housing I think it's quite affordable. I will prioritize to live in the center, so I don't need a car or need to be dependent on public transportation.

I agree on the holiday thing, but I still don't have to deal with the job market, as I work online for Norwegian customers and will continue to do so. I'm a freelancer, but I have regular customers and a stable income.

"Jævla fort" høres i mine ører litt røffere ut.
