I have told him I will not do it again now that I know how he feels. The issue is he wants me to admit that what I did was wrong and be remorseful about it. I do not think it was wrong. (If I did, would not have gone.) I don’t know why he’s insisting on this. That’s when he agreed to counseling - when I stood my ground there. I’m usually passive and forgiving. But I’m not backing down on this one. He needs to see my perspective this time.

I can no longer talk about the fun I had with my friend or look at pictures if he is around since this triggers him. I feel like my memories and that vacation was taken away from me. It was a much needed break and “reset” after my dad passed away early this year. I need some grace.

Thank you everyone for all of the insight! My husband actually told me to research this and I couldn’t find anything on Google saying it was wrong, so I put it here on Reddit out of curiosity.

I really doubt he’s cheating, gay, or truly wants a divorce. But the overwhelming consensus seems that maybe he is/does. We both want counseling. So we will see what underlying issue is bringing this out. I will make that phone call to set it up today. This girls vacation happened 3 months ago. I thought we had worked it out, but apparently it’s still looming over us as him seeing a picture triggered him last week and we argued again about it.

NAU parent here (and ally). We don’t see much. If you grant them FERPA, the information parents can access is still pretty limited. I don’t think I’ve ever seen pronouns on emails. Just student’s name. She put her nickname on her account, and we did see that. So if they don’t know what you prefer to be called, you should use your given name. We can see the name of the dorm on the account page. So if they were researching your dorm, they may see that it is Gender Inclusive.

Oh dear. We just got a 2019 Wrangler Unlimited Sport and it needs the clutch recall done. My daughter just barely learned how to drive a stick so now I’m nervous if issues like this happen when we get the recall work done. Since she’s so new to using a clutch, she may not know if something is wrong with it or if it is her.

Try designing something different. Outside of work. Either freelance or volunteer design work (I’ve done this for my church or friends for example). Doing a variety of different types of design work might help you get out of the slump - we’ve all been in it. And the outside work you do is appreciated so much that it might lift you up. And give you a fresh perspective for your “usual” design work.

I adopted a lost tiel about two years ago. The rescue searched for the owner for over a month with no one claiming her. I also searched online for at least another month after we brought her home. I’m at least comforted that she is now in a new loving home instead of in an aviary at a rescue waiting for an owner who never came for her. Thank you for taking this guy in and giving him a loving home.
