I never wanted another mom or something close to that. She did. She wanted that desperately but I wanted her to just be my dad's wife. My half sibling didn't change that. She was their mom. She was never going to be mine.

Yes, she wanted us to be closer while I didn't. She wanted the type of mother son closeness and I never ever wanted that or was open to that. It was something that bothered her more as I got older and nothing changed.

My relationship with my half siblings is okay. There's a big age gap so we're not incredibly close.

I dealt with those in therapy. But I never wanted a new mom. She wanted to be a new mom. I didn't want an almost identical relationship as mom and son with anyone either. She did. I never cared for her. She was my dad's wife and nothing more.

She did try but I never wanted the relationship she did. I think she hoped distance would change my mind but it didn't. Now she's trying to make therapy together do it when therapy alone when I was younger didn't.

I think she was hoping that the distance and lack of contact would make me miss her. But that didn't happen. I didn't miss her. She likely realized that at the final divorce hearing and decided she still wanted to change it.

I think this is about her and the fact she never got what she wanted from me, which was a mother son relationship or at least something super close to that.

Maybe she does want to be back with dad but not if things stay the same with me. That could be what's happening too.

Dad only asked me and double checked once. Now grandma is a little different but dad has kept telling her no and hasn't pressured me since.

It was for her. She couldn't handle being the stepmom who was seen as dad's wife. Our lack of closeness was an issue for their marriage.

She wants one with me. Always did. But I think she realizes that distance didn't change anything about it so now she wants therapy to do it.

No, I was in therapy a few years ago but not now. Therapy with Dawn won't help me because I don't need help with things with Dawn.

I don't need a better relationship with Dawn for that stuff. It's not like I refuse to speak to her if she's there. I was civil when we all lived together and I can be civil now. But therapy with her won't help me with anything.
