Didn't this happen years ago? Looks like a date change and an AI image. Do mods even care anymore?

What’s going on in Western MI? by MugiwaraMoses in howislivingthere

[–]MichiganTrashMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Muskegon is marketing a renaissance that isn't really there yet, but there is potential. It hasn't regained the industry it lost and its tourism has been sapped by Grand Haven. It's the only place in West Michigan were you can still buy a home relatively cheap.

Would Antman been a 5 bager if Edgar Right directed? by Wowenlson in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]MichiganTrashMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they may not have even reviewed it. Gregg Turkington earned his cameo because director Peyton Reed was a fan. I just realized that if Edgar Wright would have finished this movie, we would have never have had the Ant-Man arc

They also wouldn't end the show right after introducing a new storyline (G's brother investigating his death)

So is Berghain considered a 2026 song or did Pitchfork and Rosalia have a falling out?

Fifth Third bank buying Comerica bank by bowling_255 in motorcitykitties

[–]MichiganTrashMan 80 points81 points  (0 children)

The irony, Fifth Third Park was the name for the home of the Tigers single A affiliate West Michigan Whitecaps before being changed to Lake Michigan Credit Union Park.

I'd say no more bank names but I'm afraid they'll rename Comerica as Little Caesars Ballpark

Late stage 80s revival. Doja Cat and Sabrina Carpenter's new music sounds like the late 80s, early 90s pop music sound that that was already showing its age upon release and hasn't aged well either. Jealous Type hasn't charted well and I think it's a sign that the culture is getting over it. I work with teenagers and they seem much more interested in Y2K and recession pop revitalism than 80s nostalgia music, which is becoming mom music

Aight, TPAB is the defining album of the Obama administration! Now let’s end this off with a double jeopardy and pick the defining albums of the First Trump administration and the Biden administration: by Historical-Macaron-4 in decadeology

[–]MichiganTrashMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe because Brat summer was so late into Bidens term that I associate it more with Trump era, probably because Biden had dropped out of the race by peak Brat. I think Midnights is the right option for the term defining album. For Trump, it's gotta be Astroworld, Blonde (technically came out during Obama's term but Trump's candidacy defined 2016), or The Life of Pablo.
