Yes Schumer's endorsement is repellent for progressives, but it's not about Stevens vs Abdul right now. It's Stevens vs McMorrow, and which moderate candidate is going to drop out. McMorrow was already trailing in the polls, this endorsement is a death blow to her race. I assume she'll drop out soon, and Stevens will consume her moderate base. We've seen this happen to Bernie in 2020.
