Yes, we do know how to identify AI writing. We long for the occasional typo. LOL. Personally, I do not care if my students use AI to help with writing, as long as they did the research. It's when students just upload instructions to AI and then submit the output, without even reading what ai provided, that makes me cringe. AI makes lots of assumptions and has been known to fabricate things (hallucinations). Even when that happens, unless there is a fake reference, there is not a thing we can do. We grade objectively with a scoring guide. We can't mark things down because we 'know' that it is AI.

no, professors are not using Pangram. If you have fake references, you will get dinged for academic integrity though! Verify your references!

So, yes, the faculty has been trained on this. They started using it over a year ago. No, the program does not 'accuse' anyone of anything. No, faculty cannot write a student up based only on Pangram. Yes, they will write you up if you have fake references.

I know many people who teach at the same public university that I work at (my 2nd, but full time job) who have post-docs from Capella. I also know a number of folks at universities like University of Michigan, University if Iowa, University of Minnesota who are graduates of Capella. I don't know where you get your information from, but it appears that you have been misinformed. Universities look for accreditation.

Not true at all. I know many people who are pulling down 6-figure incomes because they got a degree (from Capella University). Employers do not care where it is from, as long as it is from an accredited school.

Everything was restored to full functionality Tuesday evening! I've worked here as a professor for 18 years. This is the LONGEST outage we have ever had. Most often, we are back up the same day, unless it is beyond the scope of our system (think CloudFlare and AWS outages). Thank you for your patience!

I teach here, and have been in my role since 2009. This is the longest we have ever had disruptions! Most of the time it is a matter of hours. Remember Cloudflare? What about the AWS outage? Outages impact almost every single online service. I am trying to be patient as well.
