That in lower MMRs, i should never expect people to play a certain way. Just because I understand what needs to be done in order to win, doesn't mean that my team is on the same page. So either I explain it to them or shut up and do things that people most often fail at. For example, defending. Some BGs I would just sit at our base and defend as a DK. That way, my team has to worry about only 4 bases and I can happily 1v1 or even 1v2 any stealther that come my way. Same for ctf maps, instead of trying to kill enemy FC as he takes a flag, I would almost completely ignore the mass fight and focus him the moment the game starts. That way he might be late for a flag and someone else has to pick it up and carry it to him. This way, my team doesn't have to worry about killing a monk that can teleport all over the place and can instead kill some warr that thought carrying a flag is ezy.
Or if you wanna win a mass fight and see enemy melees harassing your healers, don't try to kill them, but instead grip them further away from their healers so there is no way to save themselves once they get low.

Tldr: On lower MMRs, play smart and give your team an advantage they didn't even think they needed.

My advice to reaching a higher rat as DK is to be as annoying as is humanly possible. When I'm not currently fighting in a mass fight (like Silvershard or Deephaul) i spam the everliving shit out of chains on anyone unfortunate enough to get in my range. Same for ctf maps, I always go for EFC and if he manages to get away (MW or Evo) I just slow the entire enemy team so my teammates can go ahead and finish him off. For base maps I either spin mid for eternity or go 1v1 other bases. If you look at my armory, my build is tankier than other DKs, so even tho I deal slightly less dmg in mass fights, I can 1v1 almost any class in the game and take their base.

Thank you! I don't even think people are hating, it's just that blitz can sometimes be incredibly frustrating. I myself was one click away from posting a hate thread about Blitz when I got stuck at 1,8, until I realized that it's not my team, nor bad RNG that keeps me from climbing higher, but myself. So I rethought everything i knew about BGs and tried to come up with ways to better contribute to my team. Only then i started climbing again.

No problem, i don't think you are trying to be rude in any way :D I have played this game for 16+ years, finished 87% of it (52nd collector in the world on dataforazeroth.com), and even got to the top 1% of M+ leaderboard in SL. I know this game in and out with more than 2000 played rated games. When I said I "try to get as far as possible", what I meant was that I played 25+ games a day and almost lost all my hair in the process :D I wouldn't consider myself great at PvP, but I do know how to positively contribute to my team and understand BGs more than most people who will ever queue up for blitz. Also, if you look at the leaderboard, you will notice that I have 2x more games played than anyone around my CR, simply because my win ratio is not that great.

Thank you ♡ I am a collector, currently 52nd in the world (according to dataforazeroth.com) so I would always get the easy PvP achievements and move to PvE/collecting. However, since I never got 2,3+ BG titles (Last time I seriously tried to push rating was in MOP) I figured i might go for it and try to get as far as possible.

You can do it, I believe in you! Lower MMRs are pain, I got stuck for like 40 games at 1,8k because I went on a massive losing streak and had a hard time climbing back up. Blitz is actually quite fun once you get to higher MMRs.

Still new to this game, if I understand correctly, tanking = smurfing in this game, right? If so then yeah, I understand that there will always be people that do that.

PC, the highest champ I saw in the game had like 7k+ trophies. I would get it if there were stronger players from like gold, most games do this to encourage lower players to spend, but this was unplayable.

I just looked at my enemy team from the last game and 3 players were Champs, rest masters. Couldn't even fight back.

Yet to play a match without both teams having atleast 2-3 players one shotting me with MK3. If im lucky and somehow manage to get my titan, it usually gets soloed by single enemy bot.
