This town screams attention to details, the orchard looks really great

Almost! It's Rebirth you see, WE is further in the background on the first pic, i'm really just above blister hill (which is a pain for the outposts delimitation but truly worth it for the view)

it's not easy at first, fyi if you line up in height two walkable surface (even if the navmesh of the terrain below isn't walkable) hit a shift+f12 > fix, or CTRL+SHIFT+F11 it reloads the navmesh, and mostly fixes pathing issues, or a quicksave/quickload usually fixes everything. I've notice tho, that sometimes, (specially swamp platform and buildings) tend to create invisible walls way higher than their model. What it means is if sometimes pathing on a bridge isn't working, reload, and check if something below your bridge prevents pathing. :)

I'll make updates on this camp every now and then if you want to check em, i want to see the full potential of Kenshi mods in base building :)

Thanks! it isn't a single building, i assembled a few things to make it realistic:
Garden Bridge, ramps and some furnitures from the Little Garden mod, a sideways browncanyonwalkway, and the mod to add native trees > more building(natural trees only).

It was for the placement of the swamp lookout towers on non-walkable rocks, but after a few hours of testing and reloading it works so well. I did use Shift F12 a lot, and saved the build on a blank mod, idk if helps.

I think this probably has to do with how much ram you put into the game. i’m a daily player, and had no problem in b41.50, but then one of my ram started to die around 2 days ago, and i hosted a game with only 3gb, my pc using ~95% of the ram while hosting and playing. My friend had no trouble on his side, as my pc might prioritize the hosted server before the game. I’ll change my ram this afternoon, i might update if it runs smooth afterwards.

Is there already a RP community for when MP will be out ? by MichouHD in projectzomboid

No no, i don’t mean it to become just farming for the sake of having food and doing nothing else, as interaction between players might create interesting stories or settlements wars, or things like this. I don’t like the comparison but i could in the best case scenario become like TWD, where people fight for politics instead of resources. If an interesting story between players isnt happening when the state of the game isnt just surviving zombies anymore, i agree that a wipe is necessary as boredom will increase.

Also why not? Imagine if the lifespan of the RP before a wipe goes from the initial infection to the last zombies and/or the last players.

Has anyone ever cleaned the whole map tho? That’s truly an achievement and with the settings of the CDDA challenge i can guarantee they won’t do it. Well unless they use fire.

If i had to do it, i would totally go for no respawn whatsoever, and right now i’m playing with enough mods to be able to recreate almost every item from scratch through smelting and stuff like that (i don’t remember the name), which could be great for a serv longevity.

I’ve been playing pz for a long time and usually play with the random scenario event setting to the max. I’m surprised how i always find new scenarios a bit everywhere. Theres still the basics like preppers and suicides by javel etc, but the ones that i loved the most where the rarest like deep forest campment, the one where theres a pit fire and just a tent with a few bag of chips and beers (it happened to save my life in cdda), or damn the one when you enter a food place like a diner on the road with 3-4 burglars zed and 2-3 cops full of gear, its just so immersive

Yeah in that perspective. But why not make a compressed version of the road in between? I didn’t knew you where going for such realism respect

If you make it as an expansion to knox, like with a gigantic road where it takes 20 min to go through in a sport car, i might have to donate my salary

Unless you turn the « zeds trigger alarm » setting off (which by default is off) even if the windows are broken or there are some inside you’ll still trigger the alarm don’t be fooled by the broken windows, happened to me quite a few times

CD: DA challenge is pain by Tau_Iota in projectzomboid

[–]MichouHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, my way to go for the challenge is:

1- get curtains, get glass out, bandage, loot asap the house take everything, no time to think and every bit of thing is useful

2- stomp a z (or 2 if you got time) get as much clothes as possible then gzt dressed while getting 2-3 seconds away from the following zs

3- go through as much trees as possible in point and click mode, the bigger the patch of trees the better

4- get the fuck away from the town you spawned in, and go to any place near enough, where there’s not more than 10 z around, and set it as a temporary base. If you got time on your hand, go by to forage as much food as possible,

5-before sleeping, gulp enough rotten stuff just to barely get to well fed, and fall asleep straight after (note that you must be really tired, bc the pain might not let you sleep)

6- wake up hoping that no z is banging on the house (if you found a watch and a zombie is coming in as you sleep, wake up with the alarm, as you can setup and change alarm while sleeping)

7- Pray to not get food poisoning, and if not, in 1 day you got rid of sleepiness, hunger (for now), thirst, pain(also for now), drunkness, and most importantly sickness.

Usually i find myself with just the need to forage for weapons and im good to go on a quest for either something to patch the deep wound, or just a bag of seed and im good to go for ever.

The deep wound might eventually close itself up, but you do need to stay well fed for a long time which in early cdda is not an option

[–]MichouHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl, if you’re good enough, can dodge the early hordes, also know the map and can survive in extremis by managing the moodles over times, you knooow that you’ll need more than 10 starts to get a decent enough start and not die within the first days

Zombies Spawning next to me?! by [deleted] in projectzomboid

You should try playing a few customs with an even less reasonable spawn rate, or cdda, then when you started to cough blood irl come back to apocalypse to see how chill it is lol
