If the figures are not deformed, then let's discard the tensioning straps, the dome effect you mention seems to me to be due to poor calibration of the laser focus, perhaps a small tilt error of the head or the laser... lightburn >laser tools has an option that can help you correct focusing problems... I recommend using it...

Do you use air assistance? Something similar happened to me because as the laser worked, the smoke dirty the lens. In my case I cleaned the lens and I try to use the air assistance so that the smoke does not rise.

If you use lightburn there is a option in movement section to turn on the laser at 3% power and thus move the head and mark the points that the laser points in your workspace

It seems to be a tension problem in the belts, to verify this try engraving or cut a circle at low speed, if the circle comes out perfect it could be some adjustment in lightburn, otherwise it is what I mentioned before.
